An earphone including a speaker that outputs sounds to a uniaxial direction; a sound guide tube offset from a center of the speaker to and disposed on one side of a direction orthogonal to the uniaxial direction, the sound guide tube extending to a direction parallel to the uniaxial direction; and a housing accommodating the speaker and supporting a base end of the sound guide tube, wherein the housing is broadened from the base end to other side opposite to the one side, toward a location where the speaker is accommodated, and has an inclined surface that inclines at the broadened location, and a separation distance between a central axis of the speaker and a central axis of the sound guide tube is smaller than an internal radius of the sound guide tube.

Earphones

An earphone includes a sound guide tube extending in a uniaxial direction; a speaker offset to one side of a direction orthogonal to the uniaxial direction and on side of a base end of the sound guide tube; a wireless communication board on side of a back face of the speaker with respect to the sound guide tube; and a housing including a front part and rear part, the front part supporting the base end of the sound guide tube and expanding from the base end to the one side via an inclined surface inclining to the uniaxial direction, to accommodate the speaker, and the rear part expanding from the base end to other side of the orthogonal direction to accommodate the wireless communication board, and a distance between central axes of the speaker and the sound guide tube is smaller than an internal radius of the sound guide tube.

An earphone () is provided that includes a first vibration plate () for vibration by a first piezoelectric element () and a cylindrically-shaped casing () for transmission of the vibration of the first vibration plate () to ear canal cartilage. The first vibration plate () is disposed inside the casing (). The earphone () has a structure whereby an amount of sound leakage, which is due to transmission of the vibration of the first vibration plate () to the air, is low. The ear canal cartilage transmits sound to the eardrum of only one ear, thereby enabling localization of sound. The woofer () maintains sound pressure at low frequencies.

Earphone

To respond to an n-bit digital signal, a speaker () is provided that includes an sound pressure generator () including 2piezoelectric elements (, and) for an i-th bit, and a total of 2&#x2212;1 stacked piezoelectric elements (, and). Due to divided vibration of the piezoelectric elements (, and), the speaker () has low directionality. Planar electrodes (, and), to which voltage is applied, are provided between the piezoelectric elements (, and). By this means, all the piezoelectric elements can be driven using similar voltages, and high sound quality can be obtained without a problem of unit-to-unit differences between voltage sources.

Speaker for generating sound based on digital signal

A digital speaker () is provided that is equipped with a piezoelectric element () including n electrodes () spaced apart from one another. Sound pressure is adjusted according to the surface area of the electrodes (), and all the electrodes () can be driven by the same voltage. A speaker system is provided that uses the digital speaker () as a tweeter (), or as all the speakers including a woofer (). By this speaker system, earphones () are provided that are miniaturized and have high sound quality.

A sealed type lash adjuster (A) includes a plunger (A), a body () in which the plunger (A) is inserted in a fitting manner, a first sealing means () provided between the plunger (A) and the body (), and a second sealing member (A) that can prevent or suppress intrusion of an engine oil from an outside. The second sealing means (A) seals a portion of the plunger (A) exposed from the body and is arranged so as to cover a clearance (K) formed between an open end portion of the body and the plunger (A). More specifically, the second sealing member (A) has a one-end portion (A) and an other-end portion (A) as sealing parts having a function of preventing or suppressing intrusion of the engine oil from the outside.

Hermetically sealed lash adjuster

A sealed lash adjuster (A) has a plunger (), and a body (A) accommodating the plunger. In addition, the sealed lash adjuster (A) has a first seal member () on a sliding portion of the plunger (), and has a second seal member () on a sliding portion of the body (A) that faces the sliding portion. Specifically, the lash adjuster (A) has the first seal member () on the sliding portion of the plunger () and the second seal member () on the opposing sliding portion of the body (A), such that a space K formed between the first seal member () and the second seal member () expands when the plunger () is pressed inward, and the space K contacts when the plunger () protrudes outward.

The liquid is sealed in the lash adjuster so that the volume 'V' of the gas, in the reservoir chamber when the lash adjuster is being produced and the plunger protrudes from the body, is equal to or more than 1.24 times as great as the sum of the volume 'Vo' of the liquid discharged from the high-pressure chamber when the plunger moves downward, and the increase &#x201c;Vo&#x201d; in the volume of the liquid that expands, due to heat, when the temperature of the gas in the reservoir chamber is increased from the production temperature to the maximum use temperature, and the ratio of &#x201c;V&#x201d; to &#x201c;Vo+Vo&#x201d; is equal to or higher than a ratio, which is derived based on the production temperature and the maximum use temperature, when the inner pressure of the lash adjuster increases by 500 kPa at maximum.

An electro-acoustic transducer having a main body portion 4 housing at least a speaker unit, a pinna inserting portion 5 protruding from the main body portion and adapted for being inserted into a pinna of a user, an elastically deformable auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 provided on the outer periphery of the pinna inserting portion and an insertion control portion 46, 52 for controlling an insertion position of the auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 into the auditory canal. By inserting the pinna inserting portion 5 into the pinna, the auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 is deformed to conform to the shape of the auditory canal and fitted in the auditory canal in this state for hermetically sealing the auditory canal. The insertion control portion 46, 52 is retained by a portion of the pinna for controlling the inserting position of the auditory canal fitting portion 12, 51 in the auditory canal. The electro-acoustic transducer may be attached in a stable state with optimum attachment feeling for any user to enable the playback sound to be heard with satisfactory acoustic characteristics.

A monitor mounting fixture includes a base member detachably mounted on an image pickup machine. A monitor supporting arm is supported on the base member such that it can be rotated in its peripheral direction. The monitor supporting arm has a portion bendable along an axial direction. A monitor mounting unit is mounted on the monitor supporting arm. The monitor mounting unit can detachably be mounted on a monitor display.

A sealing device is provided on the outer circumference of an oil pressure unit of the oil pressure rush adjuster, or on the partitioning wall of a sub-reservoir surrounding the oil pressure unit, or therebetween so as to provide a sealing between said partitioning wall and said outer circumference of the oil pressure unit while the engine in which the rush adjuster is mounted is stopped and so as to allow a portion of the oil to leak therebetween while the engine operates. Since the oil is perfectly prevented, while the engine stops, from leaking between the outer circumference of the oil pressure unit and the partitioning wall of the sub-reservoir, the oil amount residing in the reservoirs is enough even though not supplied from the cylinder head, and the air cannot be drawn into the high pressure chamber.

A magnetic recording medium comprises a magnetic layer coated on a substrate and composed of ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a binder, wherein the magnetic layer contains TiO.sub.2 having an average particle size of at most 8 .mu.m and a surface area of at most 25 m.sup.2 /g as measured by a nitrogen adsorption method, and Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 having an average particle size of at least 0.1 .mu.m and a surface area of at most 30 m.sup.2 /g as measured by a nitrogen adsorption method.

Magnetic recording medium

A magnetic recording medium is composed of a substrate coated with a magnetic layer comprising a magnetic powder and a binder, wherein the binder comprises from 20 to 60% by weight of a polyurethane resin, from 20 to 60% by weight of an epoxy resin, from 15 to 55% by weight of a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and a polyisocyanate.

A magnetic recording medium comprises a magnetic layer coated on a substrate and composed of ferromagnetic metal or alloy powder dispersed in a binder, wherein the magnetic layer contains Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 having an average particle size of at most 1 .mu.m and an .alpha.-form rate of from 60 to 90%.

A process for producing a magnetic recording medium, which comprises dispersing a ferromagnetic powder in a binder to form a magnetic coating composition and applying the magnetic coating composition onto a film base support to form a magnetic layer thereon, wherein corona discharge treatment is applied after the application and drying the magnetic coating composition on the film base support.
