To provide a security lighting apparatus of a kind capable of easily optimizing the timing at which an alert is carried out, when a human body is detected by a human body detectorduring the time zone determined by a time zone setting device (), an alert is issued to an intruder entering within any one of detection zones (Ato A) and, accordingly, the timing at which the alert is initiated during the time zone can be easily and properly set.

Crime-prevention lighting device

Cameras take images of an image space around a door. A distance calculation unit calculates the distance to an object in the taken images. A coordinate transformation unit detects the three-dimensional position of the object in the image space. The image space covered by the cameras is divided into a plurality of voxels. Some of these voxels are optionally set as constituents of the detection area. A judgement unit judges whether the detected three-dimensional position of the object locates within or outside the detection area. If the object is present within the detection area, an output unit produces an object detection signal, so that the door is allowed to open.
