An intake air routing device for an engine having a plurality of cylinders, includes a pair of half case bodies forming an air chamber, an air filter arranged in the air chamber and configured to purify outside air received via an intake duct, and a plurality of intake passages extending from the air chamber. The plurality of intake passages are connected with respective intakes ports of the engine. A partition plate is disposed in the air chamber, and is formed separately from the case bodies. The partition plate is arranged in the air chamber such that it extends in the air chamber by a predetermined length in a direction intersecting with a direction where the intake passages are lined up so as to partition the intake passages from each other. Such intake air routing device reduces intake interference while maintaining a small size of the intake air routing device.

Intake air routing device for an engine, and engine incorporating same

An engine control unit includes an anomaly judging section for judging whether or not there is any anomaly in throttle sensors based on the output of the throttle sensors, a throttle motor driving section for controlling the driving of a throttle motor, and a fuel injection control section for controlling the amount of fuel injection at the time of starting an engine by using the fuel injection map for starting. The throttle motor driving section stops the driving of the throttle motor if the throttle sensors are judged to be anomalous, and the fuel injection control section switches the fuel injection map for starting in a normal state into the fuel injection map for starting in an anomalous state at the time of restarting the engine after stopping the engine in a state wherein the throttle sensors are judged to be anomalous.

Engine control unit

A stroke judgment device includes a gear having a portion with no teeth, a pulse generator, an intake pipe internal pressure detecting device and an ECU. The ECU controls an injector(s) and the ignition timing of a spark plug(s). The ECU mainly includes a phase detecting device for detecting the phase of the crankshaft, a first stroke judging device for judging stroke based on detected phase and intake pipe internal pressure, a rotational cycle detection device for detecting rotational cycle of the crankshaft, a comparison device for comparing two rotation cycles of specified phase, a second stroke judging device for judging stroke based on results of comparison, and selection device for selecting one of the first stroke judging device or the second stroke judging device.
