An image display device includes: an image display unit that displays a list of images each including information related to a position of photography; a selection unit that selects at least one image from among the images; a photography position information acquisition unit that acquires information related to the position of photography; a specification unit that specifies a map server based on the information related to the position of photography; a requesting unit that transmits to the specified map server the information related to the position of photography, and that requests the map server to transmit map data for a range that includes the position of photography; a reception unit that receives the map data transmitted from the map server; and a display control unit that displays a map based on the received map data, and displays information specifying the position of photography upon the map.

Image display device and computer-readable medium

An image-capturing device including an image-capturing element, a data extraction device, a recording device, a reproduction device, and a display control device is provided. The image-capturing element captures an image of a photographic subject and outputs image data. The data extraction device extracts data corresponding to a region designated in advance within the image data outputted from the image-capturing element. The recording device records the extracted data and the image data into a recording medium individually. The reproduction device reads out the extracted data from the recording medium. The display control device outputs an image signal to a display device, so as to display an image according to the extracted data read out by the reproduction device.

Image-capturing and data extraction device

An information processing method and apparatus reproduces predetermined information from a variety of information recorded by, for example, an electronic camera. The information may be reproduced in a predetermined order and with predetermined reproduction time. Reproduction information is generated based on recording information. Reproduction time may be changed by changing a WAIT time between reproduction of each recording unit. A slide show mode may be selected after a series of information are recorded. If information is not being presently recorded in the electronic camera, all of the information previously recorded may be displayed as the slide show. Also, new information may be recorded even under unexpected conditions. Information to be reproduced may be set during slide show mode by changing the order of reproduction if necessary. The new information is recognized as different information from the information that is set during the slide show mode.

An information processing apparatus provides for continuous reproduction of audio data that has been added to and associated with image data. After a table of data sets recorded on a memory card (for example) is displayed, a data set is selected, e.g., by pressing a display associated with that data set. When an audio recording button is depressed, the sound is collected by a microphone while the button is depressed. The audio data corresponding to the sound is recorded on the memory card as second audio data of the data set when the selected data set already includes audio data. When the data set is reproduced, the image corresponding to the image data of that data set is displayed and the sound corresponding to each of the first and second audio data is output from the speaker in a continuous sequence.

A wireless communication unit of the present invention comprises: an interface portion signally connected to a connector of a main device, the connector being dedicated to a recording-medium; a recording portion performing non-volatile recording; a wireless communication portion performing wireless communication; and a control portion transmitting information to be recorded through the wireless communication portion to an external destination and generating a backup of the information in the recording portion, the information being inputted from the main device to the control portion through the interface portion. An information processing apparatus is provided that inputs and outputs images of different resolutions. When a resolution of a line drawing input via an interface is lower than the resolution of the monitor and the resolution of an image input via the interface is higher than the resolution of the monitor, the line drawing is provided to an interpolation circuit and the image is provided to a low-pass filter. The line-drawing is interpolated in the interpolation circuit and the image is pixel thinned by the low-pass filter. The line drawing and the image are displayed after being converted to the resolution of the monitor.

In an electronic camera, an exposure amount S ( 1/2000 sec.), an exposure amount M ( 1/250 sec.) and an exposure amount L ( 1/30 sec.) are set in vertically synchronous signal timing directly before the fourth frame, the fifth frame, and the sixth frame. In the frame directly following that setting, exposure is performed corresponding to that exposure amount. The signal levels obtained from the three exposure amounts are compared in the eighth frame, and an added value &#x3b1; is added to the shutter time in which the signal level obtained is closest to the optimum signal level. This time is set in vertically synchronous signal timing directly before the ninth frame. In the ninth frame, exposure is performed corresponding to this setting. In the tenth frame, the signal is readout according to this exposure. In the eleventh frame, the signal calculation is performed. The processing is repeated in the same way thereafter and the optimum exposure amount is determined.

An electronic camera of the present invention includes an imaging element that forms an image of an object, a display device that displays the formed image; a memory that stores the image formed by the imaging element; and a designating device that designates arbitrary positions on a display screen of the display device.

Electronic camera having pen input function

An information processing apparatus capable of receiving and processing a variety of types of input is shown with features that make it easy to add properly synchronized information as desired. A CCD photoelectrically converts into image signals the light of objects collected by a photographic lens. The image signals of the photographic images are digitized by an analog/digital (A/D) conversion circuit, and are compressed by a digital signal processor (DSP). A central processing unit (CPU) records on a memory card the photographic images along with their input date and time as header information. When sound information is received through a microphone during reproduction of the photographic images, the CPU 34 records on the memory card the sound information along with the input date and time header information of the photographic images.

Information input apparatus

An information processing apparatus is provided in which multiple types of information is stored and only predetermined information is deleted independent the other types of information that has been input to the apparatus. As such, after displaying on a screen a table of the various types of information being stored in the apparatus, if a thumbnail image is chosen and the delete key is selected, then only the image corresponding to the chosen thumbnail image is deleted from the memory, as well as from the table. In addition, sound and memo information relating to the chosen thumbnail image are maintained without change. If the execution key is selected after choosing a specific type of information, the chosen information is reproduced once, and after user confirms the content, the reproduced information is deleted by selecting the delete key. In addition, when a plurality of information is chosen, selection of the delete key deletes all the chosen information.

An image-capturing device according to the present invention includes: an image-capturing element which captures an image of a photographic subject and outputs image data; a data extraction device which extracts data corresponding to a region designated in advance within the image data outputted from the image-capturing element; a recording device which records the extracted data and the image data into a recording medium individually; a reproduction device which reads out the extracted data from the recording medium; and a display control device which outputs an image signal to a display device, so as to display an image according to the extracted data read out by the reproduction device.

In the record mode, charging processing of the strobe is performed for a specified interval of time, and the strobe can be reliably caused to flash. Charging processing of the strobe is not performed while processing of reproduction (play) mode or another mode is being performed, and battery consumption is controlled.

An information processing apparatus provides simplified operation relating to switching of information input modes in an electronic camera. After photographing a picture image, memo information is input and superimposed onto a previous photographic picture image if input within a prescribed time period, for example, the time period necessary for a compression process of the photographic picture image. The previous photographic picture image is photographed immediately prior and is displayed on the screen. A touch tablet is operated by a pen and functions as an input device. A memo input in this manner is stored to memory as information of the same recording unit as the photographic picture image. After the prescribed time period has elapsed and photography has been performed, if the touch tablet is operated the photographic picture image is erased from the screen and only the memo is input. Also, the input memo is stored independently to memory.
