Provided is a work support apparatus for a work machine including a lower traveling body, an upper turning body mounted on the lower traveling body, and a work device attached to the upper turning body. The work support apparatus, which provides a captured image for supporting work by the work machine, includes a flying object capable of flying over the air, an image capture device, a flight mode designation unit, and a flight control unit. The image capture device is mounted on the flying object and acquires the captured image. The flight mode designation unit designates a specific flight mode from among a plurality of flight modes set in advance for the flight action of the flying object. The flight control unit performs a flight control for making the flying object make a flight action corresponding to the flight mode designated by the flight mode designation unit.

Provided is a work machine and the like that can reduce the possibility of contact with an unmanned aircraft flying around. The degree of possibility of contact between a working mechanism () and an unmanned aircraft () is recognized on the basis of the relative position of the unmanned aircraft () with reference to the working mechanism (). If it is recognized that the contact possibility is high, then the operation mode of at least one of a lower traveling body (), an upper pivoting body (), and the working mechanism () is controlled so as to reduce the contact possibility.

Provided is a valve restrained from unintentional close. The valve includes a valve element formed with a flow-path hole, a holding member having inlet and outlet ports and holding the valve element while permitting its rotational movement in first and second directions, and a rotational restriction section. The valve element has an open position for making communication between the ports through the flow-path hole and a close position for blocking between the ports. The rotational restriction section restricts the rotational movement so as to stop the rotational movement thereof in the first direction at the open position where a specific part of the outer peripheral surface of the valve element overlaps the inlet port and receives pressure of the liquid to allow the pressure to impart a rotational bias in the first direction to the valve element in the open position.
