To provide an elevator car position detection sensor capable of suppressing erroneous detection of presence or absence of a plate. The elevator car position detection sensor includes a first coil provided to one of an elevator car and a hoistway and configured to output an excitation magnetic field to a plate provided to the other of the elevator car and the hoistway; a second coil provided on an opposite side of the first coil relative to the plate; a shield wall configured to shield an end portion of the plate located closer to one of the car and the hoistway; and a determination circuit configured to determine a phase of an alternating-current voltage corresponding to a frequency of the excitation magnetic field output from the first coil at an alternating-current voltage generated across the second coil.

Provided is an apparatus configured to detect a car position by performing threshold processing on a voltage caused by an AC magnetic response through use of an identification plate in which a slit pattern is formed and a plurality of coils, the apparatus including a circuit configuration capable of switching between a normal operation for detecting the car position based on an on/off detection operation using the plurality of coils and a self-diagnosis operation capable of verifying the on/off detection operation irrespective of the presence or absence of the identification plate with a car in a stopped state by forcedly applying a magnetic field to the coils.

Cage position detection device

An elevator car position detection device is provided capable of preventing erroneous detection of a metal object other than an object to be detected. The elevator car position detection device includes: an object to be detected provided in one of a hoistway and a car of an elevator, the object to be detected being formed of a magnetic body and having a slit-like opening; and a magnetic detection device provided in the other of the hoistway and the car of the elevator, the magnetic detection device being configured to detect a change in magnetic flux density according to the slit-like opening when facing the object to be detected.

Elevator car position detection device

Provided are a radiation measurement device and method that allow stable radiation measurement as compared with the prior art. The radiation measurement device includes a radiation detection unit 1 having a scintillator, an optical transmission member 21 for transmitting an optical signal generated in the radiation detection unit, and a signal processing unit 3 for calculating a radiation dose from the optical signal transmitted. The signal processing unit includes a compensation unit 7 for obtaining an optical transmission loss amount from a change in wavelength spectrum in the optical signal caused by radiation acting on the optical transmission member and performs compensation-control on the optical transmission loss amount, and outputs a compensated signal.

Radiation measurement device and method

In a rope damage diagnostic testing apparatus, an ultrasound applicator generates ultrasonic waves in a wire rope by making the wire rope vibrate due to magnetostriction effect. A detecting element detects changes in a state of propagation of the ultrasonic waves in the wire rope. An excitation coil and the detecting element are disposed in a parallelogram that has as a first opposite side length a length of a portion of the wire rope in which one of the outer layer strands makes one revolution around the wire rope, and that has as a second opposite side length a product of a diameter and number of the outer layer wires that are included in one of the outer layer strands.

Rope damage diagnostic testing apparatus

In an elevator car position detection device, a magnetic field generator generates an eddy current magnetic field on an identification member, and a magnetic field detector detects the eddy current magnetic field generated on the identification member. The identification member includes a plurality of conductors which are continuously arranged along an ascending and descending direction of a car, and are relatively different in a plate thickness with respect to a skin depth of an eddy current generated by the magnetic field generator on the identification member. A shape of at least a part of a boundary between the adjacent conductors is a straight line or a curve tilted with respect to a direction orthogonal to the ascending and descending direction of the car.

A detection subject body provided in a hoistway includes an ID sequence formed by arranging three or more types of segments having different magnetic properties in a movement direction of an elevating body. An eddy current type detection unit is provided on the elevating body to generate signals corresponding to the magnetic properties of the respective segments. An identification unit identifies the respective types of the segments on the basis of the signals from the detection unit, and outputs a time series signal in a different output condition depending on the type of each segment. A digital data conversion unit converts the time series signal into digital data on the basis of variations in the output condition of the time series signal from the identification unit. A position specification unit specifies the position of the elevating body on the basis of the digital data.

Elevator position detection apparatus

In an elevator position detection apparatus, when a first diagnosis switch is closed, a diagnosis coil generates a first induced magnetic field, and when a second diagnosis switch is closed, the diagnosis coil generates a second induced magnetic field that is weaker than the first induced magnetic field. In a constant L output fault diagnosis mode in which the first induced magnetic field is generated, an output value of a measurement signal falls below a threshold regardless of whether or not a detection subject body is present in a detection region. In a constant H output fault diagnosis mode in which generation of both the first and the second induced magnetic fields is stopped, the output value of the measurement signal equals or exceeds the threshold regardless of whether or not the detection subject body is present in the detection region.

In a sliding door apparatus, a first entrance is opened and closed by a first door, and a second entrance that faces the first entrance is opened and closed by a second door. Imaging means that captures images across a space between the first entrance and the second entrance is disposed beside the space. An image processing and determining portion determines presence or absence of an obstruction inside the space based on image data from the imaging means.

Sliding door apparatus and elevator including an obstruction detection system

In an elevator apparatus, a pulley is provided in a hoistway. A rope that moves together with the movement of a car is wound around the pulley. Further, the pulley is provided with a pulley sensor for generating a signal according to the rotation of the pulley. The car is provided with a car speed sensor for directly detecting the speed of the car. A control panel is provided with: a first speed detecting portion for obtaining the speed of the car based on information from the pulley sensor; a second car speed detecting portion for obtaining the speed of the car based on information from the car speed sensor; and a determination portion for determining the presence/absence of slippage between the rope and the pulley by comparing the speeds of the car as respectively obtained by the first and second speed detecting portions.

Elevator rope slip detector and elevator system

In an elevator apparatus, a guide rail has a plurality of unit rails that are vertically connected to each other. A car is provided with a rail joint detecting device mounted on the car, for detecting the presence/absence of a joint between each of the unit rails. The rail joint detecting device has a joint detecting portion for optically detecting the presence of the joint; and a joint determining portion for determining the presence/absence of the joint based on information from the joint detecting portion. Information on the presence/absence of the joint is outputted from the joint determining portion to a car position correcting circuit. In the car position correcting circuit, information on the position of the car is corrected based on the information on the presence/absence of the joint.

Elevator rail joint detector and elevator system

In an elevator apparatus, a pulley is provided in a hoistway. A rope that moves together with the movement of a car is wound around the pulley. Further, the pulley is provided with a pulley sensor for generating a signal according to the rotation of the pulley. A rope sensor for measuring the movement speed of the rope is provided in the hoistway. A control panel is provided with: a first speed detecting portion for obtaining the speed of the car based on information from the pulley sensor; a second speed detecting portion for obtaining the speed of the car based on information from the rope sensor; and a determination portion for determining the presence/absence of slippage between the rope and the pulley by comparing the speeds of the car as respectively obtained by the first and second speed detecting portions.

An identity verification apparatus includes a light source for applying light that can pass through an object to be detected and having a fingerprints to the object to be detected, an image pickup unit for picking up light emitted from the light source and passing through projections of the fingerprint and light emitted from the light source and passing through depressions of the fingerprint, and for generating a fingerprint image including dark portions corresponding to the projections and bright portions corresponding to the depressions, and a signal processing unit for image processing the fingerprint image generated by the image pickup unit to generate fingerprint information, and for verifying an identity based on the fingerprint information.

Identity verification apparatus and fingerprint image pickup method

A fingerprint image pickup device includes a light source that emits a light for transmission through a fingertip portion having a fingerprint to be photographed, an image pickup unit that picks up the light from the light source and transmitted through the subject to acquire a fingerprint image in which convex and concave parts of the fingerprint are dark and bright, respectively, and an optical system that images the light transmitted through the fingertip portion on the image pickup unit. The optical system is arranged so that a distal side of the fingertip portion is tilted, at a predetermined angle, farther away from the optical system than an opposite side, with reference to a position at which a ventral side of the fingertip portion contacts a face orthogonal to an optical axis of the optical system.

An optical distance sensor includes a first substrate provided with a light emitting element and a light detecting element, a one-piece optical structure body on a second substrate, the optical structure body having optical elements for converging incident light in a direction parallel to a surface of the second substrate and for converging an outgoing light beam from the light emitting element and a light beam reflected by an object in the direction parallel to the surface of the second substrate, and lenses for converging incident light in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the second substrate and for converging the outgoing light beam from the light emitting element and the light beam reflected by the object in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the second substrate, respectively.
