The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a microneedle array that does not readily break during puncture and thereby improves the reliability of puncturing, the microneedle array being capable of administering the desired amount of the target substance; and a microneedle manufacturing method for manufacturing a microneedle array of such description. To achieve the above purpose, the invention is characterized in being provided with: a substrate; a plurality of microneedle base sections formed integrally in a protruding manner on the substrate; and microneedle end sections installed at the ends of the microneedle base sections to form microneedles and provided with in vivo solubility or biodegradability, the microneedle end sections holding the target substance, a recess for admitting the microneedle end sections being provided to the microneedle base sections, and a part of the microneedle end sections being admitted into the recess for admitting the microneedle end sections.

Microneedle array manufacturing method

A leak tester is used to perform a leak test on a work such as a wheel by detecting trace gas being leaked from the work. Herein, the work is installed in a chamber and is tightly held between seals. A leak tester seal is constructed using a work seal base, on which a number of channels are formed like circular rings, which are sequentially arranged with equal intervals. For example, an interval of distance between centers of adjoining channels is set at 1.27 cm to cope with different kinds of tire wheels, diameters of which are determined in accordance with the prescribed standard. Incidentally, each channel has a rectangular shape in section. In addition, a number of sealing members, made of elastic material, are formed like circular rings, which are fitted into the channels respectively. At installation of the work into the chamber of the leak tester, a rim of the wheel is pressed against the sealing member buried in the channel of the work seal base. Because the sealing member is securely supported by the channel, the sealing member is hard to be deformed, so that abrasion can be reduced. Incidentally, the leak tester uses a rubber plug, having a special design, with which a valve hole of the wheel is closed. Furthermore, the leak tester uses an instrument exclusively used for insertion and extraction of the rubber plug.

A punching pin of a soldering apparatus cuts out a solder piece from a solder plate onto a feeder pin, and the feeder pin presses the solder piece against a predetermined junction of a conductive wiring pattern incorporated in a printed circuit board; then, an electric circuit component is mounted on the printed circuit board, and is strongly soldered to the conductive wiring pattern, because the punching pin and the feeder pin supply a fixed amount of solder to the predetermined junction.

A reusable plug device for providing sealing of an opening of a rim of a wheel for leak testing has a simple structure and facilitates installation/removal of the plug device using a simple insertion tool and a removal tool. The plug body has an axially extending cavity for receiving the insertion tool to enable the plug body to be inserted until a flange section of the plug body abuts the surface of the workpiece. The flange section serves as a stopper to indicate the stop position and ensures a uniform installation of the plug device in each workpiece. For removal of the plug body, the removal tool is inserted into the cavity and the removal tool is pushed in the insertion direction, so that the plug body and the flange section both collapse inward into the cavity to enable the plug device to be simply pushed out through the opening section.
