A method for profiling the performance of a wireless local area network may include receiving, from a wireless access point (WAP), measurements associated with client devices in a wireless local area network (WLAN), and identifying a dominance of the client devices in the WLAN. The method may further include classifying the received measurements into categories representing channel qualities with the client devices in the WLAN, and transforming the categories of the client devices into values. The method may further include determining a profile of the WLAN based on the values and the dominance of the client devices.

Profiling of wireless local area network performance

A network device may include a processor. The processor is configured to: receive a network address of a load balancer device from a management device; send a test request to the load balancer device based on the received network address; obtain a network address of a data collector device from the load balancer device; and perform a test with the data collector device. The data collector device is configured to: obtain a result of the test; and send the result to a data lake.

Link quality measurements and link status detection

A system described herein may use automated techniques, such as machine learning techniques, to identify network events (e.g., based on user-submitted reports and/or system-generated alerts). The system may identify a type and/or attributes of the network event, and may identify past network events that share the same or similar attributes. An estimated time to remediate the network event, and/or one or more remedial measures, may be determined and implemented based on remediation measures taken to remediate the past network events. The determined remedial measures may include one or more temporary remedial measures effected until a permanent solution is put into place. Users who are affected, or who are likely to be affected, may be contacted to indicate the estimated remediation time. Feedback may be used to refine the estimation and/or remediation for future similar network events.

Systems and methods for using machine learning techniques to remediate network conditions

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a speed testing service is provided. The speed testing service includes a protocol independent data model that has no dependency on a management protocol. The speed testing service can be triggered via an application programming interface request. An agent of an end device or customer premise equipment is configured to respond to the application programming request, and generate and transmit a test request to a network device based on the data model. The agent stores all files and data to initiate a test, perform a test, and obtain a test result. The network device is configured to schedule the test based on the test request, and generate and transmit a test response based on the data model. The network device is configured to perform the test and provide test results.

Protocol independent speed testing service

A device may receive first information relating to a wireless local area network to be used to communicate with a first access point and one or more second access points. The first information may identify one or more first configuration parameters associated with the first access point. The device may obtain second information from the first access point based on the first information. The second information may identify one or more second configuration parameters associated with the first access point. The one or more second access points, when configured based on the second information, may permit communication via the wireless local area network. The device may provide, to the one or more second access points via the first access point, information for configuring the one or more second access points based on the second information.
