Systems for reducing nitrogen oxides in combustion exhaust gas include a selective catalytic reactor (SCR) assembly having a catalyst bed for receiving a flow of exhaust gas, an exhaust gas conduit for introducing exhaust gas to the SCR assembly, at least one nozzle for introducing cooling water into the exhaust gas before the exhaust gas exits the SCR assembly, and at least one reductant conduit for introducing at least one reductant into the exhaust gas to form a reductant/exhaust mixture before the exhaust gas exits the SCR assembly. Methods for reducing nitrogen oxides in combustion exhaust gas include introducing an exhaust gas into a SCR assembly, and introducing cooling water into the exhaust gas, reducing the temperature of the exhaust gas, and introducing at least one reductant into the exhaust gas to form a reductant/exhaust mixture before the exhaust gas exits the SCR assembly.

Gas turbine combustor exhaust gas spray cooling for NOx control using selective catalytic reductions

An apparatus and a method for cooling and/or sealing a gas turbine by selectively boosting the pressure of air extracted at a lower extraction stage is provided. The pressure of the extracted air is boosted by an external compressor before it becomes available for cooling and/or sealing the turbine components. A bypass line includes a higher extraction stage providing air for cooling the turbine.

Apparatus and related methods for turbine cooling

A turbomachine includes a compressor portion that generates a cooling airflow. The compressor portion includes a plurality of compressor stages. The turbomachine further includes a turbine portion operatively connected to the compressor portion. The turbine portion includes a plurality of turbine stages. A conduit fluidly connects at least one of the plurality of compressor stages with at least one of the plurality of turbine stages and delivers a portion of the cooling airflow from the compressor portion to the turbine portion. An injector port is connected to the conduit and a secondary fluid generation system. The secondary fluid generation system delivers an amount of dry secondary fluid into the cooling airflow passing from the compressor portion to the turbine portion. The amount of dry secondary fluid replaces a portion of the cooling airflow passing to the turbine portion.

Turbomachine and a method for enhancing power efficiency in a turbomachine

A system for mixing flows from a compressor is provided. The system comprises an ejector that combines a first flow and a second flow, from the compressor, into a third flow. A bypass flow is connected between the first flow and the third flow. A mixer combines the bypass flow and the third flow into a fourth flow. The fourth flow has a pressure and temperature intermediate the respective pressures and temperatures of the bypass flow and the third flow.
