The present invention relates to the field of communication technology with regard to cell scheduling. A method of operating a network node comprises transmitting a single Downlink Control Information (DCI) to a radio node, the single DCI scheduling Physical Downlink Shared Channels (PDSCHs) on a plurality of cells. The single DCI indicates a counter downlink assignment indicator (DAI) which is either based on the plurality of scheduled cells or independent of the plurality of cells scheduled by the single DCI.

DAI and HARQ codebook for multi-cell scheduling

Techniques disclosed herein efficiently address prioritization by a UE regarding its reception behavior with respect to a configured downlink transmission that is overlapped by a dynamic assignment and/or the dynamic downlink transmission scheduled via the dynamic assignment. In at least one embodiment having applicability to operation of the UE in a communication network based on the 5G NR specifications, the techniques disclosed herein provide for predictable behavior by the UE as to when the UE prioritizes a configured Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) versus another PDSCH. Correspondingly, a radio network node may exploit the predictable behavior of the UE to override a configured PDSCH in favor of a dynamic PDSCH, by transmitting the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) that schedules the dynamic PDSCH so that a timing relationship between the PDCCH and the configured PDSCH is satisfied.

The method includes receiving a bandwidth part, BWP, configuration associated with a BWP of a secondary serving cell, Scell, of the UE. The UE determines whether the BWP of the Scell of the UE is a dormant BWP based on a received higher layer parameter in a Scell configuration that indicates an identifier of the dormant BWP. In response to determining whether the BWP of the Scell is a dormant BWP, the UE determines a set of actions performable by the UE based on whether the BWP is a dormant BWP; and performs the set of actions.

A method and apparatus provide for low latency transmissions. A higher layer configuration message can be received that indicates a set of resource blocks for receiving data packets in at least one symbol of a subframe. An attempt can be made to decode a data packet in a first set of resource elements within the set of resource blocks. The first set of resource elements can be in the at least one symbol of the subframe. An attempt can be made to decode the data packet in at least a second set of resource elements within the set of resource blocks. The second set of resource elements can be in the at least one symbol of the subframe. The second set of resource elements can include at least one resource element that is not in the first set of resource elements. The data packet in one of the first set of resource elements and the second set of resource elements can be successfully decoded. A data payload of the decoded data packet can be delivered to an application layer.

Method and apparatus for low latency transmissions

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. A network node configured to communicate with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to indicate, in downlink control information, DCI, a first modulation and coding scheme, MCS, associated with first transport block, TB, indicate, in the DCI, a second MCS associated with a second TB where the first MCS is indicated by a first MCS field size and the second MCS is indicated by a second MCS field size less than the first MCS field size, and communicate with the wireless device based on the first MCS and the second MCS.

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for minimum scheduling offset interpretation. In one embodiment, the network node is configured receive an indication of a first preferred value for a minimum scheduling offset for a first bandwidth part, BWP, having a first subcarrier spacing, SCS, and a second preferred value for a minimum scheduling offset for a second bandwidth part, BWP, having a second subcarrier spacing, SCS; determine a minimum scheduling offset parameter for at least one of the first BWP having the first SCS and the second BWP having the second SCS based at least in part on at least one of the first preferred value and the second preferred value; and configure the wireless device with the determined minimum scheduling offset parameter. In another embodiment, a wireless device is configured to indicate the first and second preferred values.

The present disclosure described systems and methods for providing OTT services to a UE. An exemplary OTT-providing host computer includes a transceiver, a processor, and memory collective configured to provide the OTT service by initiating transmission of user data to the UE. Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) to perform different operations based on detection of wake-up signal (WUS) transmissions from a network node in a radio access network (RAN). Such methods include determining whether a WUS transmission, from the network node, is detected during a particular WUS monitoring occasion (WMO). Such methods also include, based on determining that the WUS is detected during the particular WMO, performing one or more first operations during a first time period associated with the particular WMO; and based on determining that the WUS is not detected during the particular WMO, performing one or more second operations during a second time period. There is provided a method of operating a wireless device, UE, in a communication network.
