An agricultural system can include a boom assembly including a frame section and a boom section pivotably coupled to the frame section. One or more nozzle assemblies may be operably coupled with the boom assembly. A boom movement sensor may be configured to generate image data and a machine sensor may be configured to generate machine data. A computing system may be communicatively coupled to the sensor. The computing system may be configured to determine an estimated boom position of the boom section based at least in part on the machine data, determine a position of a target within the image data based at least in part on the estimated boom position of the boom section, modify the image data based on the position of the target to create modified image data, and determine a magnitude of deflection based on the modified image data.

System and method for an agricultural machine

A method for an agricultural application operation is provided herein. The method includes receiving a target application condition for an agricultural product to be exhausted from a nozzle assembly through an input device. The method also includes receiving an agricultural product flow condition and data related to boom movement from a sensing system. In addition, the method includes receiving a first duty cycle from a computing system. The method further includes determining a detected application condition based on the agricultural product flow condition, the data related to boom movement, and the first duty cycle with the computing system. Lastly, the method includes generating a duty cycle command based on a comparison of the target application condition to the detected application condition with the computing system.

System and method for an agricultural applicator

A system for measuring real-time seed placement of seeds, such as corn seeds, during planting wherein the sensing and measurement (SAM) system comprises various elements selected from the group consisting of a high-speed camera, light-section sensor, potentiometer, GPS unit, data acquisition system, and a control computer. The SAM system measures seeding depth, seed spacing, and geo-location of the seed. It is mounted on a planter row unit located in between the closing wheels and the gauge wheels with the camera and light section sensor directly facing the furrow.
