An apparatus, method, and non-transitory machine-readable medium provide for 360&#xb0; assistance for a QCS scanner with mixed reality (MR) and machine learning technology. The apparatus includes an optical sensor, a display, a Chatbot, cloud service, and a processor operably connected to the optical sensor and the display. The processor receives diagnostic information from a server related to a field device in an industrial process control and automation system; identifies an issue of the field device based on the diagnostic information; detects, using the optical sensor, the field device corresponding to the identified issue; guides, using the display, a user to a location and a scanner part of the field device that is related to the issue; provides, using the display, necessary steps or actions to resolve the issue; and connects, using a cloud server, a user to get modules of installation, commissioning, annual maintenance (AMC) and training for a quality control system (QCS) as per the selected persona.

In one embodiment, a computing device (e.g., border router or network management server) transmits a discovery message into a computer network, such as in response to a given trigger. In response to the discovery message, the device receives a unicast reply from each node of a plurality of nodes in the computer network, each reply having a neighbor list of a corresponding node and a selected parent node for the corresponding node. Based on the neighbor lists from the replies and a routing protocol shared by each of the plurality of nodes in the computer network, the device may create a reference topology for the computer network, and based on the selected parent nodes from the replies, may also determine a current topology of the computer network. Accordingly, the device may then compare the current topology to the reference topology to detect anomalies in the current topology.

Various embodiments of a networked computer system in which an application server associates an identity with each data source included in the system are disclosed. The networked computer system may include several backend systems, each including one or more data resources, and the identity of a data source may be unique to a data resource. When an application requests a connection to a data resource, the application server may ascertain the identity of the associated data source and compare this identity to identities of data sources with existing connections. If a match is found, the application server may provide an existing connection to the application, whereas if no match is found the application server may provide a new connection. The identity of a data source may include one or more data source configuration properties. In some embodiments, the identity may include database name, URL, and user name.

A dynamically configurable resource pool may provide a pool of computing resource for use in a computing system or application, such as a connection pool or a thread pool for server systems such as application and web server systems. In one embodiment, a server may include a resource pool configured to provide a plurality of computing resources. Other components in the server may be configured to request use of one of the computing resources from the connection pool. The resource pool may include a resource pool manager configured to service requests for the computing resources. The resource pool manager may manage configuration of the resource pool. The resource pool manager may also be configured to receive a configuration change request to change the configuration of the resource pool while the resource pool is available for use.

A distributed data system may include nodes hosting at least one multi-threaded process operable to access portions of distributed data. A lock mechanism may grant locks to multi-threaded processes for portions of the distributed data. Only a process holding a lock may access a portion corresponding to the lock. Threads of other processes may not access the portion. A process may include a first thread to request access to a distributed data portion that may acquire a lock for the distributed data portion on behalf of the process. In one embodiment, the lock mechanism may require only a thread that acquired a lock release the lock on behalf of a process. In embodiments, the first thread may release the lock in response to no more threads of the process require access to the distributed data portion and/or in response to a request to release the lock.

The present invention provides a system and method for deploying software onto multiple heterogeneous systems at the same time. A generic software deployment manager may deploy software by communicating with client software deployment services residing on the systems that are receiving the software deployment. The software deployment manager can operate independent of the software and the operating system on which software is being deployed by communicating with the client software deployment service. To execute a software deployment, the software deployment manager may send software deployment messages containing generic commands that signify operations to be performed to deploy software. The client software deployment service provides an interface between the software deployment manager and the recipient system by translating these generic commands to commands that are compatible with the local operating system. The software deployment manager may transmit software deployment messages simultaneously to each of the systems within a system group or an environment so that software can be efficiently deployed without incompatibilities in the network. The software deployment manager may deploy software in Linux, Windows, Unix, Macatosh, Java, or any other operating system and may deploy any software.

A client-server system may include a distributed store configured to maintain a primary state of session data including one or more attributes. One or more other nodes may include other instances of the primary state. The system may compare the primary state to a benchmark primary state to generate a subset of the attributes of the session data that have been modified in the primary state. Another instance of the primary state may be synchronized with the primary state using the subset of the attributes. In one embodiment, the comparing may include performing binary differencing of binary representations of the primary state and the benchmark primary state to determine the modified attributes. In another embodiment, the comparing may include performing object graph differencing of object graph representations of the primary state and the benchmark primary state to determine the modified attributes.

An Induced Multi-threading (IMT) framework may be configured to induce multi-threaded execution in software code. In one embodiment, the IMT framework may include a concurrent code generator configured to receive marked code having one or more blocks of code marked for concurrent execution. Software code initially intended for sequential execution may have been automatically marked by an automated code marker and/or marked manually to generate the marked code. The concurrent code generator may be configured to generate concurrent code from the marked code. The concurrent code may include one or more tasks configured for concurrent execution in place of the one or more marked blocks of code. In one embodiment, the IMT framework may also include a scheduler configured to schedule one or more of the tasks for multi-threaded execution.

A system and method for implementing a common transaction manager interface. A system may implement an application server with a transaction manager module configured to provide a common application interface to a local transaction manager and a global transaction manager. The transaction manager module may be configured to determine if a transaction initiated by an application component should be managed by the local transaction manager or the global transaction manager. The local transaction manger may be configured to create a local transaction object for each transaction managed by the local transaction manager, and the global transaction manger may be configured to create a global transaction object for each transaction managed by the global transaction manager. The local transaction objects and the global transaction objects may provide a common application interface for implementing their respective transactions.

A transaction manager may be paused so that transactions managed by the transaction manager are prevented from making transactional state changes. When all transactions being coordinated by a transaction manager are paused, the transaction manager may be said to be paused or frozen. While the transaction manager is paused, the transactions that the transaction manager is supporting may not be allowed to complete. A transaction manager may obtain permission from a transaction freeze manager in order to transition the state of a transaction. The transaction freeze manager may function as a read/write lock manager controlling locks on a transaction freeze object. In servicing a transaction state transition request, the transaction freeze manager may grant the transaction manager a read lock on the transaction freeze object. In servicing a transaction manager pause request, the transaction freeze manager may grant an administrative entity a write lock on the transaction freeze object.

Various embodiments of a system and method for enhancing applications for Java Data Object (JDO) persistence are disclosed. A class structure based data object enhancer may operate on the classes of an application in the absence of user input, to produce metadata to determine a persistence structure corresponding to the application classes. The class structure based data object enhancer may use the generated metadata to produce enhanced application classes. For example, the class structure based data object enhancer may incorporate calls to a JDO persistence mechanism into a class at each point where a field designated by the persistence structure to be persisted, is accessed. The class structure based data object enhancer may also generate a database schema, which may specify how the fields designated for persistence are stored in a persistent data store.

Various embodiments of a system and method for persisting application state data are disclosed. The system may include a server cluster networked to a persistent data store such as a database resident on a backend system. Each server of the cluster may include a server container providing services for one or more applications along with a persistence mechanism. The persistence mechanism may be able to detect changes to the state of an application and persist only the portion of the application state that changed to the remote, persistent data store. In some embodiments, the persistence mechanism may be a Java Data Object (JDO) persistence manager which provides object persistence and transaction support while masking the peculiarities of resource managers for particular databases.

In one embodiment, a system may manage a first transaction, from a first application component, as a local transaction and also manage a second transaction, from a second application component, as a global transaction. A method to instrument software code may comprise marking one or more blocks of code in an application program to provide a marked code. The marking may comprise inserting a marker at each of the one or more blocks according to a marking application programming interface (API). The one or more of the blocks of code marked according to the marking API may be transformed so that one or more functions are performed for the marked blocks. The one or more functions may not be part of the application program. The method may include executing the application program and performing the one or more functions for the marked blocks.
