A system for detecting containers that have been tampered with includes one or more tamper detecting tape nodes attached to a container storing one or more assets, and a tracking system controller configured to receive data from the one or more scanning tape nodes, track the container and the one or more assets, and maintain a database comprising data on the container and the one or more assets, according to some embodiments. Each of the one or more tamper detecting tape nodes comprising a first type of wireless communication system and configured to detect tampering events that occur to the container, store tampering event data corresponding to the tampering events in a storage or memory of the tamper detecting tape node, and wireless communicate with other wireless nodes of the system.

An alert is generated by the wireless monitoring device when the tracking identifier is not listed in a manifest listing identifiers of wireless tracking tags attached to logistic containers expected to be loaded into the cargo hold. Within the cargo hold, the wireless tracking tags may also exchange their tracking identifiers such that any one of the wireless tracking tags may determine, by counting, when less than a target threshold number of wireless tracking tags are present.

Systems and methods for monitoring loading of cargo onto a transport vehicle

A wireless sensing system includes a first tape node and a second tape node. The first tape node has a low-power wireless-communications interface and an environmental sensor operable to capture and transmit a first set of environmental data of at least one environmental characteristic to the second tape node. The second node includes an environmental sensor, a low-power wireless-communication interface, a first processor, and a first memory communicatively coupled with the first processor, the first memory storing machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the first processor, cause the first processor to: capture a second set of environmental data; compute an environmental differential between the first set of environmental data and the second set of environmental data; compare the environmental differential to a predetermined environmental threshold; and transmit a notification to a client application of the wireless sensing system running on a client device of the wireless sensing system when the environmental differential exceeds the predetermined environmental threshold.

Augmented reality for guiding users to assets in IOT applications

A plurality of tape agents includes an autonomous master wireless tape agent. The autonomous wireless tape agent includes a first wireless communications interface type operative to communicate over a wireless communications link with an associated secondary wireless agent. The autonomous master wireless tape agent corresponds to a child node in a wireless agent hierarchy. The secondary wireless agent includes a second wireless communications interface type that has a longer wireless communications range than a wireless communications range of the first wireless communications interface type. The secondary wireless agent corresponds to a parent node in the wireless agent hierarchy. The master wireless tape agent governs the wireless communications link and traffic between the master wireless tape agent and the secondary wireless agent. The master wireless tape agent is operative to schedule a designated time slot for each secondary wireless agent transmission. The secondary wireless agent is operative to synchronize its transmit and receive timing with that of the master wireless tape agent and respond to requests received from the master wireless tape agent.

A tape node and associated methods update an integrated smart label display to redirect delivery of an associated asset. Information of the associated asset is displayed on the integrated smart label display and includes an original destination address and a barcode. When the tape node determines that the associated asset is to be redirected to an alternative destination, based on received instructions and/or at least one rule defining conditions for the associated asset, the tape node updates the displayed information to include an address of the alternative destination and updates the barcode of the associated asset on the integrated smart label display. The tape node may provide instructions for receiving a reward for recycling the tape node.

A detection system tracks assets in a galley of an aircraft. A tracked tape node attached to an asset transmits, at a first interval, a beacon including a unique identifier (ID) of the tracked tape node. One of a plurality of tracking tape nodes, each positioned in a different one of a plurality of asset slots of the aircraft galley, activates a receiver for a first period to receive the beacons and stores the unique ID and a receive signal strength indication (RSSI) of the received beacon in a list ordered on the RSSI. The tracking tape node transmits, at a second interval, a tracking beacon including a tracking ID of the tracking tape node and the list. A mobile device receives the tracking beacons and generates a data structure of assets in the galley. The mobile device compares the data structure to a manifest and graphically indicates discrepancies.

Relevant data from the aggregated sensing data is stored on one of a memory of the first sensing device, a database of a central database and control system associated with the first sensing device, and a memory of a client device. A wireless tracking device and methods detect movement of a control of equipment, determines a setting of the equipment based on a sensed position of the control, and generates an alert when the control is moved unexpectedly. The wireless tracking device may include an adhesive surface that, in use, adheres the tracking device to the equipment, a sensor that senses a position of the control, a memory storing the position and a setting module having non-transitory computer-readable instructions, and a processor coupled to the sensor and the memory and configured to execute the setting module to analyze the position to determine the setting of the control. Apparatus and methods prepare an adhesive tape platform with a battery for disposal at an end of its useful life. The adhesive tape platform determines when it is at the end of its useful life and performs an action to drain remaining battery life of the battery. When remaining life in the battery is less than a threshold level, the adhesive tape platform transmits a ready for disposal notification to an Internet of Things (IOT) system of the adhesive tape platform. The adhesive tape platform may determine its life expectancy and operational phases of the adhesive tape platform and assign battery usage for each of the operational phases such that the battery is depleted at an end of a last one of the operational phases. The adhesive tape platform may activate battery draining circuitry to drain the remaining battery life of the battery.
