An electric surgical stapler including a handle and a working head. The handle has a handle body, a driving motor, and a control unit for controlling the driving motor to operate. The working head includes an anvil, a cartridge, a closing mechanism, a firing mechanism, a housing for accommodating the closing mechanism and the firing mechanism, a closing limit switch configured to transmit information of a closing stroke of the closing mechanism to the control unit, and a pressure sensor configured to transmit a pressure value applied to a squeezed tissue during closing to the control unit. The control unit is configured to transmit an instruction of controlling the driving motor to drive movement of the firing mechanism, when the closing limit switch is triggered and the pressure value transmitted by the pressure sensor meets a preset standard.

Electric surgical stapler

An electric surgical stapler and a method for controlling closing and firing of the electric surgical stapler are disclosed. The electric surgical stapler includes: a driving motor, having an output shaft; a working head, including an anvil, a cartridge, a closing mechanism, a firing mechanism, a closing limit switch, and a firing safety switch, wherein the closing limit switch is configured to detect a closing stroke of the closing mechanism, the firing safety switch has a closing position and a firing position, the firing safety switch is configured to allow the output shaft to transmit power to the closing mechanism when the firing safety switch is at the closing position, and the firing safety switch is configured to allow the output shaft to transmit power to the firing mechanism when the firing safety switch is at the firing position; and a control unit, including: a working head identifying module; a motor control module; a closing and firing control module, configured to receive information transmitted from the closing limit switch and the firing safety switch; a closing switch; and an opening switch. The control unit is provided with a plurality of modules, and is able to communicate with the working head in real time, to avoid abnormal or fault operations during surgery, and to improve security in use.

The present disclosure relates to an electric surgical stapler, including a handle the handle having a handle body, a driving motor and a control unit for controlling the driving motor to operate; a working head, including an anvil, a cartridge, a closing mechanism, a firing mechanism, a housing for accommodating the closing mechanism and the firing mechanism, a closing limit switch, and a closing height adjustment shift switch configured to transmit information of a closing height control shift to the control unit, wherein during closing, the control unit is configured to control the closing mechanism to move until the closing limit switch is triggered so that a closing distance between the anvil and the cartridge is at a preset closing height, and the control unit is further configured to control the closing mechanism to move after receiving information transmitted from the closing limit switch, so that the closing distance between the anvil and the cartridge is adjusted to be consistent with a preset closing distance corresponding to a current shift of the closing height adjustment shift switch. Since a certain distance is closed in advance, clearances in the transmission mechanism have been eliminated, and the adjustment of the closing height can be accurately implemented to achieve desired closing height.

A shredder has a jam proof system with a thickness detector having a contact member which displaces as an article is inserted into the shredder and a resistance generating mechanism which provides a resistance force to the contact member, in response to its displacement. The greater the thickness of the article, the greater the resistance force realized. When a predetermined thickness is reached, there is a significant change in the resistance force. The resistance generating mechanism may include at least two spring mechanisms and provide feedback to the user that the inserted article may be too thick. In addition, the thickness detector may include a thickness sensor. The sensor may communicate with a controller to alert the user, and/or alter the operation of the shredder, in response to the thickness of the inserted article. For example, the controller may visually and/or audibly alert the user, or control shredder motor response.

Shredder with jam proof system

A shredder is disclosed having a jam proof system. In one embodiment, the jam proof system provides a thickness detector having a contact member which displaces as an article is inserted into a throat of the shredder and a resistance generating mechanism configured to provide a resistance force to the contact member, in response to displacement of the contact member. The greater the thickness of the material the greater the resistance force that will be realized. When the material reaches a predetermined thickness, there will be a significant change in the resistance force. The resistance generating mechanism may include at least two spring mechanisms serially arranged, such as, a first spring mechanism and a second spring mechanism. This feature provides immediate and direct feedback to the user that the article inserted into the shredder may be too thick. In addition, the thickness detector may include a sensor, and in particular, a Hall effect sensor assembly configured to measure the thickness of the article inserted into the throat. The sensor may communicate with a controller that is configured to alert the user, and/or alter the operation of the shredder, in response to the thickness of the material. For example, the controller may visually and/or audibly alert the user, or control the shredder motor response.
