Catheters () with monitoring capabilities that can upload sensed or acquired data to a smart device () and/or a Cloud server (). One or more sensors () can be located with a catheter assembly to collect data. The collected data can be processed by data analytics to analyze the data for usable information, such as to spot trends, patterns, and cause-effect relationships of the various detected conditions. The information can be viewed using an App or a web-browser dashboard or a local monitor.

Peripheral venous catheter assemblies with sensors and related methods

Needle assemblies are disclosed having a multi-purpose protective cap. The needle assemblies can embody a catheter assembly having a catheter hub and a catheter tube or a hypodermic needle mounted on a needle hub. The multi-purpose cap includes a first section covering the needle and a second section having a base portion for covering a hub, such as a needle hub or a catheter hub. The first section and the second section are separable from one another along a detachment line and the second section is re-useable as a securement device.

Caps for needles and catheters

Needle devices are described. The needle devices can have a catheter hub, a needle hub, a housing located between the catheter hub and the needle hub. The housing can have an engagement mechanism to removably attach the housing to the catheter hub. The housing can further include a release element to release the engagement mechanism from the catheter hub to disengage the housing from the catheter hub. A flow regulator can be positioned inside the catheter hub. The flow regulator can include a stem and a sleeve.
