PROTEOGLYCAN MIMETICS FOR ENHANCED WOUND HEALING, ANGIOGENESIS, AND VASCULAR REPAIR

The present disclosure provides pro-angiogenic proteoglycan mimetics that can provide a provisional, pro-angiogenic scaffold to support tissue regeneration while limiting systemic exposure to VEGF activity. These mimetics can protect a collagen matrix from rapid degradation, and in conjunction with EPCs promote angiogenesis in order to accelerate ischemic wound healing. For example, the provided compounds can be delivered from the end of a catheter following balloon angioplasty to coat the collagen exposed areas, prevent platelet binding and thrombosis, support capture of EPCs from blood to facilitate reendothelialization, and reduce late-lumen loss (neointimal hyperplasia).

Proteoglycan mimetics for enhanced wound healing, angiogenesis, and vascular repair

Novel isolated stem cells derived from pre-term placental tissue and compositions comprising the stem cells are provided as well as use of the compositions for therapy, research and diagnosis. The cells and compositions are useful in treating Myelomeningocele (MCC), spina bifida (SB) or spinal cord injury or paralysis.

Placenta-derived multipotent stem cells

The present invention provides scaffolds that include a polymer and a cyclic peptide ligand. The peptide ligand increases the attachment of endothelial cells and/or progenitor cells to the scaffold. The present invention also provides engineered tissues that include the provided scaffolds. The present invention also provides coatings that include a coating polymer and a cyclic peptide ligand. The present invention also provides methods of improving endothelialization and vascularization of endothelial cells and/or progenitor cells for tissue regeneration in a subject and of repairing bone defects in a subject, by implanting a provided scaffold.

Engineered scaffolds for vascularized tissue repair

Provided herein is an isolated decelluarized amniotic membrane (DCM) and methods for using same therapeutically in vivo and in vitro. In one aspect, the isolated DCM is further processed, freezing, freeze drying, lyophilization micronized into powder or treatment with pepsin to create a hydrogel.

Decellularized human amniotic membrane for cell delivery, cell culture and inflammation prevention

This disclosure provides isolated cells and compositions comprising one or more isolated cell(s) as described herein. In one aspect, the isolated cell is a pre-term placenta-derived stem cell (also referred to placenta-derived multi potent stem cells (pmSCs). As used herein, the term 'pre-term placenta-derived multipotent stem cell or placenta-derived stem cells' intends a cell isolated from placental tissue prior to delivery of the fetus by surgery or birth. In another aspect, the isolated cell is a chorionic villus (CV)-derived multipotent placental stem cells (C-mpSCs). Also provided are compositions comprising these cells, wherein the composition comprises an effective amount of the isolated cells as described herein.
