A manifold to provide print fluid to a printhead, the manifold comprising: an inlet to receive print fluid from a print fluid supply; and an outlet to provide print fluid to the printhead; the inlet to couple with a flow control device to control flow of print fluid from the print fluid supply to the manifold; and wherein the inlet comprises an element to engage an actuatable member of the flow control device to activate the flow control device to allow print fluid to flow from the print fluid supply to the printhead.

Print fluid manifold

One example provides an article. The article includes a container body. The article includes a lid covering the container body, the lid including a lid aperture to permit passage of a printing fluid into the container body. The article includes a lid manifold mounted to the lid. The lid manifold includes a lid manifold input port to be fluidly connected to and disconnected from a container manifold port of a separate printing system. The lid manifold includes a lid manifold output opening that is in the form of a needle having a length of less than or equal to about 6 mm and is fluidly connected to the lid aperture. The lid manifold includes a channel fluidly connecting the lid manifold input port and the lid manifold output opening.

Containers with lid manifolds

A print head assembly for an ink-jet printer operable with a continuous ink supply system is disclosed, with an ink compartment, a foam insert, an ink fill port, and a spacer. The ink fill port receives ink fed from an external supply and to be printed by the print head assembly. The ink compartment stores the ink to be printed. The foam insert is in the ink compartment and takes up the ink to be stored. The spacer extends into the ink compartment, provides for the formation of a clearance between the foam insert and the ink fill port and surrounds the ink fill port either completely or with one or more gaps having a gap width. The gap width of none of the gaps presents an aperture angle of more than 25% of 36&#xb0; with respect to a center of the ink fill port.

One example provides a replaceable cartridge for user-installation in a printer system. The replaceable cartridge includes a cartridge body, a cartridge lid and a lid manifold. The cartridge lid covers the cartridge body and includes a lid aperture to supply printing fluid into the cartridge body. The lid manifold is mounted to the cartridge lid and includes a lid manifold input port to be fluidly connected to and disconnected from a carriage manifold of the printer system. The state of the fluid connection depends on a pivot position of the carriage manifold, if the replaceable cartridge is installed in the printer system.

In one example a replaceable tri-color ink cartridge housing includes three chambers for different colors ink. In a further example, a headland may have three parallel ink slots having a length of at least 14.4 millimeters.
