Technology of the present invention improves the shielding performance of an outer conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductorand an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor. Connector

Technology of the present invention improves the shielding performance of an outer conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductorand an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor. Connector with improved shielding

Technology of the present invention suppresses a decrease in the impedance of an inner conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductor, an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor, and a dielectricarranged between the inner conductorand the outer conductor. The dielectricincludes a cavitythat extends in a predetermined direction and a locking holeformed in an inner peripheral face of the cavity. The inner conductorincludes an inner conductor bodyarranged in the cavity, and a locking portionthat bulges from the inner conductor bodyand can enter and be locked to the locking hole. The locking portionextends along the predetermined direction and is shaped as a double-supported beam whose upper and lower end portions are supported by the inner conductor body

A connector includes a housing and an outer conductor. The outer conductor includes a first outer conductor and a second outer conductor. The housing includes a fitting hole into which the second outer conductor is fitted. The first outer conductor includes a first lock portion. In the state where the first outer conductor is located at a normal insertion position, the first lock portion is arranged so as to face the back side in the fitting direction of the second outer conductor in the fitting hole. The second outer conductor includes a second lock portion that is locked to the first lock portion in the state where the first outer conductor is located at the normal insertion position. In the state where the second lock portion is locked to the first lock portion, the second outer conductor is retained in the fitting hole.

Shield connector capable of suppressing impendance mismatching

A sleeve () is a hollow cylindrical member provided in a shield terminal (), and pressable by a wire barrel () by being arranged between an insulating portion () and a shield portion () of a shielded cable (). A convex portion () shaped to bulge radially outward over an entire circumference is provided at an intermediate position of the sleeve () in an axial direction. The convex portion () is crushed and elongated by the wire barrel () of an outer conductor terminal (). The insulating portion () can be prevented from being excessively compressed.

Sleeve and shield terminal manufacturing method

A shield terminal () includes an inner conductor terminal () and an outer conductor terminal () surrounding the inner conductor terminal (). The outer conductor terminal () has a pull-out opening () through which an inner conductor connecting piece () of the inner conductor terminal () is pulled toward a circuit board (). The outer conductor terminal () includes outer conductor connecting pieces that face the pull-out opening () and that include first and second outer conductor connecting pieces () located on both sides across the inner conductor connecting piece () in a plan view and a third outer conductor connecting piece () that faces the inner conductor connecting piece () in a direction orthogonal to an arrangement direction of the first and second outer conductor connecting pieces () at a position between the first and second outer conductor connecting pieces () in the arrangement direction.

Shield terminal and shield connector

An outer conductor terminal () includes a body () surrounding an outer periphery of an inner conductor terminal () and having a rear opening and a lid () for closing the opening of the body (). Body-side locks () are provided on side surfaces of the body (). The lid () has side portions () for covering the side surfaces of the body (). The side portions () are provided with front abutting portions () contacting the body-side locks () from the front. The lid () has rear abutting portions () contacting the body-side locks () from behind to sandwich the body-side lock portions () between the front abutting portions () and the rear abutting portions () and to hold the lid (). The body-side locks () include contact portions () that contact the rear abutting portions () with resilient forces.

Outer conductor terminal and shield connector

A shield terminal () includes an inner conductor terminal (), an outer conductor terminal (), a dielectric () and a capacitor serving as an electronic element (). The outer conductor terminal () surrounds the inner conductor terminal () and is connected to a shield portion () of a shielded cable (). The dielectric () is arranged between the inner conductor terminal () and the outer conductor terminal (). The electronic element () includes a core connecting portion () to be connected to a core () of the shielded cable () and an inner conductor connecting portion () to be connected to the inner conductor terminal (). In the shield terminal (), an insulating short circuit preventing member () is arranged between the core connecting portion () and the outer conductor terminal ().

Shield terminal

A board connector includes fixing members () to be mounted into a connector housing (). Each fixing member () includes a plate-like housing mounting portion () to be arranged along a surface () of the connector housing () and a board fixing portion () connected to the housing mounting portion () and to be fixed to a surface of a circuit board () by soldering. The housing mounting portion () includes a flat plate () near the circuit board (), a flat plate () distant from the circuit board () and a bent portion () between the respective flat plates () and bulging in a plate thickness direction with respect to the flat plates (). The bent portion () is provided over an entire width of the housing mounting portion () in a plate width direction between the flat plates ().

Board connector

An inner conductor terminal () is made of a metal plate and includes tubular first terminal portion () and second terminal portion () each having an opening end. A bent portion () links the first and second terminal portions () and covers the respective opening ends of the first and second terminal portions () by facing the openings. A tab () projects from an end of the first terminal portion () opposite to the opening end, and a lead () projects from an end part of the second terminal portion () opposite from the opening end. The inner conductor terminal () includes two side panels () projecting from the second terminal portion () to be located at both sides of the bent portion () and covering a clearance between the bent portion (), the first terminal portion () and the second terminal portion () from both sides.

Inner conductor terminal and shield terminal

A shield terminal () includes an inner conductor terminal () and an outer conductor terminal () surrounding the inner conductor terminal () and having a tubular fitting portion (to which a mating outer conductor () is fit. The tubular fitting portion () includes butting edges () to be butted against each other on both circumferential edge parts (A,B), fixed contact point portions () formed to have an embossed shape in a butting-side half circumference portion (C), the fixed contact point portions () contacting the mating outer conductor (), and resilient contact portions () formed by cutting and raising parts of an opposite-side half circumference portion (C) on a side opposite to the butting-side half circumference portion (C), the resilient contact portions () resiliently contacting the mating outer conductor ().

A connector housing () includes a housing body () to which a mating connector housing is to be fit from front. A lock arm () has front and rear ends fixed to the housing body (). A lock () is provided in a central part of the lock arm () in the front-rear direction and is configured to lock the mating connector housing. A pressing surface () is on a rear end part of the lock arm () and is configured to displace the lock () in an unlocking direction by being pressed. A coupling portion () couples the pressing surface () to the central part of the lock arm () in the front-rear direction.

Connector housing and connector

A connector (C) includes a housing (), a terminal fitting () and a retainer (). The housing () includes a cavity () extending in a front-rear direction and a retainer insertion hole () intersecting and communicating with the cavity and open in an outer surface. The terminal fitting () is inserted into the cavity () from behind, and a stabilizer configured to guide an inserting operation into the cavity () and restrict the inserting operation in an erroneous posture projects on an outer side. The retainer () is inserted into the retainer insertion hole () and include a retaining portion () configured to face the stabilizer from behind.

A terminal fitting (T) includes an inner conductor () and an outer conductor (). The inner conductor () has a mating connecting portion () to be connected to a mating terminal fitting and a center conductor crimping portion () to be crimped to a center conductor of a shielded cable. The outer conductor () has a tubular portion () configured to surround the mating connecting portion (). A coupling () is behind the tubular portion (). The center conductor crimping portion is inside the coupling (). A shield crimping portion () is behind the coupling () and is to be crimped to a shield layer of the shielded cable. A conductive member () extends in a front-rear direction and includes a bridge () to electrically contact the tubular portion () and the shield crimping portion () across the coupling ().
