The present invention provides a hybrid two component coating composition comprising as component I, (A) an N-alkoxysilylalkyl-aspartic acid ester, (B) a polysiloxane having a molecular weight in the range of from about 400 to 10,000, and optionally (C) at least one hydrolyzable silane; and as component II, (D) a polyisocyanate having an average NCO functionality of 2.5 to 5.5 and an isocyanate content, based on solids, of 9 to 50 wt % and containing aliphatic polyisocyanates; and (E) a catalyst. Methods of making and applying the hybrid coating composition are also provided.

Fast cure aspartate polysiloxane hybrid coating

Two-component coating systems and compositions are disclosed. The coating compositions form crosslinked polyurea coatings and have relatively long pot life and relatively short dry time. The coating compositions include a polyisocyanate, a polyaspartic ester, and a polyetheraspartic ester.

Polyaspartic coating compositions

The present disclosure is directed to an aliphatic isocyanate-based moisture-curable resin. The disclosed resin may include an aliphatic isocyanate functional material and an cycloaliphatic isocyanate functional material. The resin may be used to formulate a coating composition that may exhibit no substantial sag when applied at a wet film thickness of at least 6 mils, and no substantial blistering when cured to a dry film thickness of at least 6 mils.
