Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for repeater configuration for channel state information reference signal. An apparatus includes a transceiver that receives a first configuration from a base station of a mobile wireless communication network, the first configuration comprising channel state information reference signal ('CSI-RS') configuration information for amplifying and forwarding CSI-RS beams to a user equipment (“UE”) device from the repeater node. The transceiver receives a second configuration from the base station, the second configuration comprising configuration information for performing measurement and reporting of the CSI-RS beams. The transceiver receives repeater-specific CSI-RS to be forwarded to the UE device and transmits the repeater-specific CSI-RS to the UE device according to the first configuration.

Repeater configuration for channel state information reference signal

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to Type-II port-selection codebook generation. The method and apparatuses described herein may include a means for receiving a set of CSI reference signals and identifying a set of ports based on the set of reference signals. The method and apparatuses described herein may include a means for selecting a subset of ports from the identified set of ports and for generating a set of amplitude coefficient indicators and a set of phase coefficient indicators corresponding to the subset of ports. The method and apparatuses described herein may include a means for generating a CSI report comprising an indication of the subset of ports, the set of amplitude coefficient indicators, and the set of phase coefficient indicators, where the indication of the subset of ports comprises a combinatoric value.

Type-II port-selection codebook generation

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for channel state information reporting. One method includes receiving channel state information report configuration information. The channel state information report configuration information includes: information indicating one or more channel state information-reference signal resource configurations associated with at least one non-zero power channel state information reference signal resource set for channel measurement; and information indicating that the channel state information report configuration corresponding to multiple points is used. The multiple points are associated with a primary group of points or a secondary group of points. The method includes performing channel measurements using the at least one non-zero power channel state information reference signal resource set. The method includes generating a set of channel state information reports based on the channel state information report configuration information.

Channel state information reporting

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for configuring repeater-assisted communication. One method includes transmitting, from a first network node ('NN'), an indication of repeater-assisted communication to a second NN and a third NN. The method includes transmitting configuration information to the second NN and the third NN. The configuration information includes control information that corresponds to whether the second NN and the third NN are turned on or turned off, the control information corresponding to whether the second NN and the third NN are turned on or turned off is correlated, the control information identifies timing information for the second NN and the third NN, and the timing information indicates whether the second NN and the third NN are expected to transmit a signal received at the second NN and the third NN at a prior time to the first NN and/or a fourth NN based on the configuration information.

Configuring repeater-assisted communication

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to artificial intelligence (AI) enabled beam management. A base station may notify a user equipment (UE) of an availability of AI-enabled beam management and provide configuration parameters for an AI algorithm. The UE may utilize the configuration parameters to configure an AI algorithm. The UE may process a first set of beams utilizing the configured AI algorithm to identify a second set of beams. The UE may notify the base station (and/or other network entity) of the second set of beams, and one or more beams of the second set of beams can be utilized for wireless communication between the UE and the base station and/or other network entity or UE.

Artificial intelligence enabled beam management

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for Type-II port-selection codebook generation. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that receives a set of CSI-RS. The processor identifies a set of CSI-RS ports based on the set of CSI-RS. The processor selects a subset of CSI-RS ports from the identified set of CSI-RS ports based on a free selection of the respective CSI-RS ports from the identified CSI-RS ports. The processor generates, based on the set of CSI-RSs, at least one amplitude coefficient indicator and at least one phase coefficient indicator for each selected CSI-RS port generates a CSI report comprising a Type-II port-selection codebook corresponding to the generated coefficients and the subset of CSI-RS ports.

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to reporting of AI capabilities between network nodes, such as between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. A UE, for instance, generates a capability report that specifies whether the UE supports AI-enabled functionality and/or specific supported and non-supported AI-enabled features. The UE communicates the capability report to a base station and supported AI features can be implemented in conjunction with wireless communication between the UE and the base station, such as by the UE, by the base station, and/or cooperatively between the UE and the base station.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for configuring an AI based framework. One method includes receiving, an indication indicating an artificial intelligence based framework. The method includes receiving configuration information corresponding to the artificial intelligence based framework. The configuration information comprises at least one parameter of the artificial intelligence based framework. The method includes communicating an artificial intelligence report corresponding to the artificial intelligence based framework based on the configuration information. The artificial intelligence report includes: a set of values corresponding to the configuration information; an indication of a subset of a set of channel resources; or a combination thereof. The artificial intelligence report corresponds to a usage value that describes an artificial intelligence based application.

Configuring an artificial intelligence based framework

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for configuring an AI based framework. One method includes receiving a first indication indicating an AI based framework. The method includes receiving configuration information corresponding to CSI report settings. The configuration information includes CSI RSs to be received at a UE; and the CSI RSs are transmitted over a frequency index, a spatial index, and/or a temporal index, and decomposed into two groups based on the frequency index, the spatial index, and/or the temporal index. The method includes generating first CSI based on a first group of the two groups of CSI RSs. The method includes transmitting a CSI report including the first CSI. The method includes communicating an AI based report corresponding to second CSI corresponding to a second group of the two groups of CSI RSs. The first AI based report for CSI includes a correlation between the first and second CSI.

Generating a channel state information (CSI) feedback report is provided. A set of reference signals is received. A plurality of entries that are included in the CSI feedback report are computed, where the entries of the CSI feedback report include at least a set of coefficients. Each coefficient is associated with a set of indices including at least one or more of a spatial domain basis index, a frequency domain basis index, and a layer index. The plurality of entries of the CSI feedback report are arranged in an order known to both the user equipment and the network entity. The plurality of entries of the CSI feedback report are prioritized using indices corresponding to the set of indices, where a subset of the set of indices are permuted based on predefined permutations of the subset of the set of indices.

Method and apparatus for generating a channel state information report adapted to support a partial omission

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for CSI report configuration. One method includes receiving at least one CSI reporting setting. The at least one CSI reporting setting includes at least one CSI RS resource setting, and the CSI reporting setting includes an indication of CSI feedback reporting for multiple transmission points in a mobile communication network. The method includes identifying a set of transmission hypotheses based on the CSI reporting setting. The hypotheses include a combination of single-point transmission from at least one TRP, or multi-point joint transmission from two TRPs. The method includes receiving at least one CSI reference signal resource transmitted from the mobile communication network based on the CSI reference signal resource setting. The method includes generating a set of at least one CSI report based on the CSI reporting setting.

Channel state information report configuration

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for repeater configuration for initial access. An apparatus includes a transceiver that that receives an initial setup configuration from a base station of a mobile wireless communication network for establishing a forwarding link with a user equipment ('UE') device, receives an initial access configuration from the base station, the initial access configuration comprising one or more configuration parameters that allow the UE to establish access to the mobile wireless communication network, and transmits feedback to the base station that indicates reception of one or more of the initial setup configuration and the initial access configuration.
