A measuring device for ascertaining the temperature of a roller surface of a roller body is insertable into a recess of the roller body and includes at least first and second temperature sensors, a mounting rod on which the sensors are situated in the axial direction of the mounting rod spaced apart from each another, and, on each side of each respective one of the temperature sensor in the axial direction a respective supporting element arranged on the mounting rod. Between the supporting elements, the mounting rod is flexible such that each of the temperature sensors is able to be pressed onto an inner wall of the recess with a defined contact force.

A device for monitoring an occupancy status of a parking space of a parking area includes a sensor unit for detecting the occupancy status, a near-field communication unit, and a processing unit configured to (a) establish a first wireless data link to a first communication unit of a first external device using the near-field communication unit, (b) receive an activation and/or deactivation command from the external device via the first data link, and (c) activate and/or deactivate the sensor unit upon receipt of the activation and/or deactivation command. The parking area can include the device. Additionally, a system can includes the device and a first external device that includes the first communication unit.

A method is disclosed for producing a battery preparing a first electrode by providing a substrate and depositing onto the substrate at least one silicon-based semiconductor layer of a specific porosity, in particular a doped micro-crystalline silicon layer that may comprise additions of Ge, Sn and/or C; treating the semiconductor layer using laser radiation for fully or partially varying the porosity, in particular by increasing the porosity of active regions for accommodating ions, in particular lithium-ions, or for reducing the porosity of inactive regions, for decreasing the ion-absorption capacity; arranging the first electrode together with a second electrode and an electrolyte within a housing; and contacting the two electrodes and connecting with external terminals accessible from outside the housing. Also disclosed is a battery made according to the disclosed method.
