Wireless communications systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a network unit via a single physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication, a configuration scheduling multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communications; transmitting, to the network unit via a first cell, a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communication comprising acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) feedback associated with a first subset of the multiple PDSCH communications; and transmitting, to the network unit, via a second cell, a second PUCCH communication comprising ACK/NACK feedback associated with a second subset of the multiple PDSCH communications, wherein the second cell is different from the first cell.

Carrier switching in hybrid automatic repeat requests

Wireless communications systems and methods related to wireless communications in a system are provided. A wireless communication device may compute a plurality of log-likelihood ratios (LLRs) based on a received communication signal. At least a first LLR and a second LLR of the plurality of LLRs represent the same first bit in the communication signal. The wireless communication device may combine the first LLR and the second LLR to decode the first bit and transmit a report indicating channel information. The channel information may be based at least in part on the plurality of LLRs before the combining of the first and second LLRs.

Channel information based on uncombined log likelihood ratios (LLRS)

Aspects relate to a network entity sending downlink control information to a user equipment (UE) that the UE uses to receive a message from the network entity. The network entity may send to the UE a first DCI that includes a first transmission parameter or an indication thereof to be used for receiving a first message and a second DCI that includes a second transmission parameter to be used for receiving a second message.

Downlink control information scheduling multiple downlink or uplink communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first control signaling including scheduling information including one or more first resources in a time domain for the UE to transmit or receive a set of repetitions of a channel and one or more second resources in the time domain for the UE to transmit or receive a termination indication related to the set of repetitions. The UE may transmit or receive, during at least one resource of the first resources, at least one repetition of the set of repetitions. Following transmitting or receiving the repetition, the UE may transmit or receive, during the second resources, the termination indication prior to a termination of the one or more first resources. The termination indication may be based on successfully transmitting or receiving the at least one repetition of the set of repetitions.

Early termination of repetitions

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support enhanced scheduling request configurations. A user equipment (UE) may obtain, at a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer of the UE, information associated with a data packet for transmission by the UE. The UE may transmit a scheduling request that indicates information regarding an elapsed time period since the information associated with the data packet was obtained at the PDCP layer of the UE, or whether the data packet is a final packet of a set of data packets, or both. A network entity may receive the scheduling request and determine scheduling information for uplink communications by the UE based on the information regarding the elapsed time period, or whether the data packet is the final data packet, or both. The network entity may transmit the scheduling information to the UE.

Enhanced scheduling request configurations for wireless communications

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for randomization of reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) signals. A method for wireless communication includes determining a random reflection parameter for each of one or more RISs. The random reflection parameter is random over time for the one or more RISs. The method includes applying random values of the random reflection parameter at different times at each of the one or more RISs.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Sidelink communications between user equipments (UE)s may include services that demand low latency and high reliability, such as extended reality (XR) and ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC). Given the latency demands for XR and URLLC, XR and URLLC may be higher priority than other communications types. A UE may determine that data for transmission over sidelink has a high priority level based on a remaining packet delay budget associated with the data. UEs may monitor for sidelink transmissions in accordance with network configured discontinuous reception (DRX) cycles. The DRX cycles configured by the network for sidelink communications, however, may not match with the periodicity of XR traffic. For XR communications, the transmitting UE may indicate an offset to apply to a DRX cycle such that the receiving UE may adjust the DRX cycle to match the periodicity of the XR communications.

Support of low latency transmissions in sidelink

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). In one aspect, a method includes determining that (1) a first scheduled sidelink transmission to a first receiving UE using a first set of component carriers and (2) a second scheduled sidelink transmission to a second receiving UE using a second set of component carriers will overlap in a time domain; determining that the first scheduled sidelink transmission has a first transmission time length and the second scheduled sidelink transmission has a second transmission time length, wherein the second transmission time length is shorter than the first transmission time length; segmenting the first scheduled sidelink transmission into a plurality of first sidelink transmission segments; and sending, to the first receiving UE, an indication of the plurality of first sidelink transmission segments.

Transmission alignment for mini-slots and mixed numerology component carriers

A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a network node, a first message indicating, for each network power mode of a group of network power modes, a group of random-access channel (RACH) process parameters. The method also includes receiving, from the network node, a second message indicating a current network power mode, of the group of network power modes, enabled at the network node. The method further includes receiving, from the network node, a third message including a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order that initiates a RACH process in accordance with the respective group of RACH process parameters associated with the current network power mode. The method still further includes transmitting, to the network node based on receiving the PDCCH order, a RACH preamble associated with the RACH process.

Adapting random access channel (RACH) process parameters based on a network power mode

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a power saving mode of a base station. The UE may communicate with the base station using one or more communication parameters that are based at least in part on the power saving mode, the one or more communication parameters comprising one or more of: a physical downlink shared channel configuration, a downlink control information configuration, a demodulation reference signal configuration, a transport block size configuration, a block error rate configuration, or a layer configuration. Communications in power saving mode

The present disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, directed to configuration of communication states for bandwidth parts (BWPs) in which a network node may communicate with a user equipment (UE). Such communication states may be implemented to conserve power and serve cell traffic. In some aspects, an apparatus may be configured to obtain an indication associated with configuring a first set of BWPs from a network node, each of the first set of BWPs corresponding to a first communication state of a set of communication states for the network node. The apparatus may be further configured to communicate with the network node on a set of resources in one of the first set of BWPs, the set of resources being associated with the first communication state of the set of communication states.

Configuration of communication states for bandwidth parts

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) for sidelink communication. An example method include determining a set of resources, in a resource pool of one or more resource pools, to use for transmitting information to a group of receiver UEs (RX UEs), transmitting to the group of RX UEs an indication that the TX UE will transmit the information to the group of RX UEs using rate splitting multiple access (RSMA), and transmitting the information to the group of RX UEs in the set of resources using RSMA. Transmitting the information to the group using RSMA may include transmitting a common message including combined control information to the group of RX UEs using a first precoder and transmitting individual private data messages to each RX UE in the group of RX UEs using separate respective precoders different from the first precoder.

Rate splitting multiple access for sidelink communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the proposed techniques provide for a semi-persistent design for communicating rate-split messages from a network entity to multiple user equipments (UEs). The network entity may transmit control information to one or more UEs indicating encoding information for receipt of one or more downlink messages to be communicated during respective downlink occasions, which may be configured for rate-split communications. Thus, a first UE may be made aware of one or more semi-persistent downlink occasions via which respective downlink messages (e.g., respective to each downlink occasion) are to be encoded into a common portion and a private portion. In some cases, the common portion may be common with other downlink messages (e.g., intended for other UEs) and the private portion may be specific to the first UE. The first UE may then decode the rate-split downlink messages according to the encoding information.

Semi-persistently scheduled rate-splitting communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communication systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a set of uplink shared channel occasions within a configured grant period. Each uplink shared channel occasion may include a set of slots for transmitting an uplink shared channel message (e.g., repetitions of the uplink shared channel message or a transport block). The UE may transmit the uplink shared channel message in the set of slots of a first uplink shared channel occasion of the uplink shared channel occasions in accordance with the control information. The UE may transmit an uplink control information message indicating that one or more slots of the set of slots are unused. The one or more unused slots of the first uplink shared channel occasion may be skipped during the configured grant period.
