Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a beam failure detection (BFD) reference signal set in one or more slots in a full-duplex mode and in one or more slots in a half-duplex mode. The UE may detect beam failure due to self-interference based at least in part on a comparison of measurements of the BFD reference signal set in the full-duplex mode and half-duplex mode. The UE may switch from the full-duplex mode to the half-duplex mode for slots configured for the full-duplex mode based at least in part on detecting beam failure due to self-interference. Numerous other aspects are described.

Beam failure detection in full-duplex operation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may proactively provide assistive (e.g., redundant) information associated with a set of data messages transmitted via a set of periodic resources, which may reduce an amount of (or obviate the use of) retransmission indications from the network entity. For example, the UE and the network entity may support a first set of periodic resources for transmission of data messages and a second set of periodic resources for transmission of assistive information associated with the data messages. The second set of periodic resources may be a subset of the first set of periodic resources or may be different from the first set of periodic resources, and may be designated or indicated as assistive of the first set of periodic resources via control signaling or an activation downlink control information (DCI).

Assistive periodic resources for reliable and low-latency uplink communication

In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating multiple power states, where each power state of the multiple power states may be associated with a configuration of the UE. Additionally, the UE may transition from a first power state of the multiple power states to a second power state of the multiple power states based on a condition being satisfied. In such cases, a first configuration of the UE associated with the first power state may be different than a second configuration of the UE associated with the second power state.

The UE may receive a second QCL indication using the second carrier. For example, a device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or a base station) may use an existence of self-interference (e.g., existence of communications in a different transmission direction), a frequency domain allocation, a codeblock size, a number of codeblocks mapped per symbol, or a combination thereof for determining the interleaving. Additionally, the device may determine the frequency domain interleaving based on a transport block size configured for a transmission direction in a full-duplex slot. For example, a table with different ranges of transport block size along with interleaver depth or different interleaver patterns may be configured, and the device can determine the interleaver design based on the table.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a discovery burst from a network entity during the transmission duration. The received discovery burst may indicate a duplex operation mode used at the network entity for transmission of the discovery burst and a type of channel access procedure associated with a random access occasion included in the transmission duration. The UE may transmit a random access message to the network entity during the random access occasion based on a success of a channel access procedure. The channel access procedure may correspond to the indicated type of channel access procedure.

In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may obtain information indicating one of a plurality of network energy modes for communication between a transmission-reception point (TRP) and the UE. The UE may engage in a sidelink positioning session with at least one other UE, comprising the UE transmitting at least one sidelink positioning reference signal (SL-PRS) symbol for the sidelink positioning session based on a SL-PRS transmit power associated with the one of the plurality of network energy modes.

A wireless device may receive, from a network encoding device, an encoding capability message indicating one or more parameters associated with an erasure encoding and an erasure encoding type from a set of defined erasure encoding types. In some examples, the erasure encoding type is associated with an order between the erasure encoding and a low-density parity check (LDPC) encoding. The network encoding device may encode data in accordance with the one or more parameters and the erasure encoding type indicated in the encoding capability message and transmit a data message including the data encoded. As such, the wireless device may receive the data message and may decode the data of the data message in accordance with the one or more parameters and the erasure encoding type indicated in the encoding capability message.
