Systems and methods for producing light olefin(s) are disclosed. The method includes contacting a catalyst with a coke precursor to form a light olefin selective catalyst, and contacting the light olefin selective catalyst with a hydrocarbon feed under conditions sufficient to catalytically crack at least a portion of the hydrocarbon feed to form a products stream containing a light olefin, here the light olefin selective catalyst is more selective than the catalyst in catalyzing formation of the light olefin by the catalytic cracking of the hydrocarbon feed.

Light olefins yield improvement over light olefin selective catalyst

A system and a method for separating Cand recovering 1,3-butadiene are disclosed. The system includes a main washer column, a rectifier column for separating a bottom stream from the main washer column, an after washer column for purifying 1,3-butadiene from a side stream of the rectifier column comprising acetylenes and butadienes, a degasser column for separating a bottom stream from the rectifier column to produce a lean solvent stream. The lean solvent stream comprises primarily the solvent and about 8.3% water used in the main washer column and after washer column. A reboiler for the rectifier column includes one or more heat exchange units. At least one of the heat exchange units of the reboiler for the rectifier column uses steam as heating medium.

Systems and methods for enhancing the extractive section operability and modifying solvent heat recovery cycle in the separation of C4 mixtures

The presently disclosed subject matter relates to methods of producing ethylene and propylene by the catalytic steam cracking of naphtha using an HZSM-5 catalyst. An example method can include providing a naphtha feedstock, providing steam, and providing an HZSM-5 catalyst. The method can further include preparing the HZSM-5 catalyst by titanium modification or alkaline treatment, followed by phosphorus modification. The method can further include feeding the naphtha feedstock and steam to a reactor containing the catalyst and removing an effluent from the reactor having a combined yield of ethylene and propylene of greater than about 45 wt-%.

Methods for producing ethylene and propylene from naphtha

A method of producing olefins by catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons is disclosed. The method may include catalytic cracking hydrocarbons in a feed stream that includes the hydrocarbons and the dry gas diluent. The catalytic cracking may be carried out in a process using a train of fixed bed reactors while one or more other trains of fixed bed reactors are being regenerated or are on standby after being regenerated. When the train of fixed bed reactors being used needs regenerating, it is taken out of service and the one or more other trains of fixed bed reactors put in service to carry out the catalytic cracking process. Dry gas instead of steam may be used to reduce the partial pressure of hydrocarbons.

Naphtha catalytic cracking for light olefins production over cyclic regenerative process with dry gas diluent

Systems and methods for producing light olefins and BTX are disclosed. A feed stream comprising mixed Cparaffins is first separated into a first stream comprising primarily isobutane, and a second stream comprising primarily n-butane. The first stream is processed in a catalytic cracking unit and the second stream is processed in a steam cracking unit. The resulting streams from the catalytic cracking unit and the steam cracking unit are separated to form product streams including an ethylene stream, a propylene stream, and a BTX stream.

Process for producing light olefins (ethylene + propylene) and BTX using a mixed paraffinic Cfeed

Processes to produce olefins from a hydrocarbons stream obtained from a catalytic cracking unit are described. The process includes the integration of metathesis of Colefin process and a hydrocarbon catalytically cracking process to produce commercially valuable products (for example, Colefins and a Cgasoline hydrocarbons).
