A fluid control device includes a housing, a fluid channel defined within the housing, the fluid channel having an inlet, and a restriction assembly. The restriction assembly includes a cantilever device disposed within the fluid channel and defining a restricted fluid path, the cantilever device configured to deform to reduce an area of the restricted fluid path and restrict a flow rate of fluid flowing therethrough based on a property of the fluid.

A system for controlling a flow of fluid includes a flow control device having a fluid channel configured to transport a fluid between a subterranean region and a borehole conduit, a resonant sensing assembly including a resonator body disposed in fluid communication with the fluid channel, and a controller configured to cause the resonator body to vibrate according to an expected resonance frequency of the resonator body. The system also includes a processing device configured to acquire a measurement signal generated by the resonator body, estimate a property of the fluid based on the measurement signal, and control a flow of the fluid through the flow control device based on the property of the fluid.

A window cutting system includes a whipstock having an outer surface, an inner surface, a recess, and a passage extending through the outer surface and the inner surface in the recess. A window mill is connected to the whipstock. The window mill includes a body having a tip portion, a pressure compartment formed in the tip portion, and an axial passage extending though the tip portion from the pressure compartment. A pin connects the window mill and the whipstock. The pin is arranged in the pressure compartment and extends through the axial passage and the passage into the recess. The pin is axially shiftable relative to the window mill and the whipstock when exposed to pressure in the pressure compartment.

A submersible pumping system for use in producing wellbore fluids from a wellbore within a subterranean formation includes a motor and a pump driven by the motor to produce the wellbore fluids. The pumping system further includes a self-supporting power cable connected to the pump. The self-supporting power cable includes a plurality of conductors and a plurality of strength members. A method of deploying and retrieving a submersible pumping system in a wellbore includes the steps of connecting a wireline to the submersible pumping system, connecting a self-supporting power cable to the submersible pumping system, lowering the submersible pumping system into the wellbore while the weight of the submersible pumping system is borne by the wireline. The method continues with the step of locating the submersible pumping system on a landing assembly, disconnecting the wireline from the submersible pumping system, and retrieving the wireline from the wellbore without removing the submersible pumping system from the wellbore.
