A method includes drilling a wellbore and deploying a logging string including a jet nozzle and an anchor in the wellbore. The method includes hydraulically coupling a jetting treatment system including a mud treatment system to a mud circulation system, hydraulically coupling a drilling mud including wellbore fluids to the mud circulation system, and hydraulically coupling the mud circulation system to a drill string bore of the drill string. The method includes activating the jetting treatment system to circulate the drilling mud in the mud treatment system. The method includes circulating in the wellbore, using the jetting treatment system, a treatment mud, disposed in the mud treatment system, wherein the treatment mud is configured for treating the wellbore fluids. The method includes logging the well using the logging string, and treating the wellbore fluids using the treatment mud to form treated wellbore fluids.

Openhole logging tool integrating wellbore fluids treatment system and method of use

A wellbore assembly to plug and abandon a wellbore below a setting depth includes a whipstock assembly configured to drill a lateral wellbore from a primary wellbore formed in a subterranean zone. The wellbore assembly includes a tool assembly connected to the whipstock assembly. The tool assembly is configured to be lowered into the primary wellbore during the same trip as the whipstock assembly. The tool assembly is configured to perform wellbore operations downhole of a casing window from which the whipstock assembly is configured to drill the lateral wellbore before the whipstock assembly drills the lateral wellbore.

A system includes a wellhead assembly installed above a well, the wellhead assembly including a passageway extending therethrough in fluid communication with the well, a sensor operable to detect a characteristic of a fluid flow in the passageway indicative of a need for a well killing operation, a kill fluid line extending between a source of kill fluid and the passageway, a hydraulic control remote (HCR) valve installed in the kill fluid line, the HCR valve including a gate movable between closed and open positions with respect to the kill fluid line and an actuator to open and close the gate, and a controller communicatively coupled to the flow sensor and the HCR valve operable to instruct the actuator of the HCR valve to open in response to determining the characteristic of the fluid flow in the passageway is indicative of a need for a well kill operation.

Automatic well killing system

A system includes a tubular deployed in a wellbore and configured to be cemented in the wellbore, a removable shoe track removably connected to a distal end of the tubular through a shear pin and configured to deploy cement to an annulus of the tubular, and an inflatable bag disposed on the tubular and configured to inflate to seal the annulus of the tubular when the removable shoe track is sheared, using the shear pin, from the tubular after the tubular is cemented in the wellbore but before the cement has set. The removable shoe track is configured to drop to a bottom of the wellbore after the removable shoe track has sheared from the tubular.

A method includes: releasing the multi-drift tool assembly into a wellbore that includes at least a first section and a second section, wherein the first section borders the second section from above the second section, wherein the first section is sized larger than the second section, and wherein the multi-drift tool assembly comprises at least one secondary drift tool housed inside a primary drift tool; advancing the multi-drift tool assembly down the wellbore and inside the first section; in response to determining that the multi-drift tool assembly has stopped, releasing the secondary drift tool from inside the primary drift tool; and advancing the secondary drift tool down the wellbore and inside the second section.

A downhole perforation tool includes an upper sub-assembly configured to couple to a downhole conveyance within a wellbore that is formed from a terranean surface toward a subterranean formation; and a plurality of perforation sub-assemblies. Each perforation sub-assembly includes one or more perforation guns, and one or more ports configured to fluidly couple the wellbore with a bore that extends from the one or more ports to the upper sub-assembly. The downhole perforation tool further includes a main wellbore seal positioned between the upper sub-assembly and the plurality of perforation sub-assemblies and actuatable to anchor the downhole perforation tool to a casing in the wellbore. The downhole perforation tool further includes at least one secondary wellbore seal positioned between adjacent perforation sub-assemblies of the plurality of perforation sub-assemblies. The at least one secondary wellbore seal is actuatable to fluidly isolate a portion of an annulus of the wellbore from another portion of the annulus of the wellbore.

Downhole perforating tool systems and methods

An ultrasonic flow check system for wellbores includes an ultrasonic transceiver installed within an inner surface of a bell nipple attached to a well head of a wellbore at a surface. The bell nipple receives wellbore fluid from a flow line attached to a side surface of the bell nipple. An alarm is installed on a rotary table installed above the bell nipple such that the bell nipple is between the rotary table and the well head. A ultrasonic signal is caused to be transmitted, by the ultrasonic transceiver, into the bell nipple. The ultrasonic signal is reflected by the wellbore fluid within the bell nipple resulting in an ultrasonic response signal. The ultrasonic response signal is caused to be received by the ultrasonic transceiver. Based on the ultrasonic response signal, it is determined whether the fluid level within the bell nipple is static or mobile.

Ultrasonic flow check systems for wellbores

A device for cleaning a tubular of a wellbore includes a cylindrical body. The cylindrical body has a fishing neck, an upper chamber, a lower chamber, a first spring, a second spring, and a rod. The fishing neck facilitates raising and lowering the device within the tubular. The upper chamber receives a latching dog that abuts against the tubular when the device is raised and lowered within the tubular. The lower chamber receives a brush with bristles that scour a surface of the tubular as the device is lowered. The first spring exerts a force between the latching dog and the cylindrical body, while the second spring exerts a force between the brush and the cylindrical body. Finally, the rod interconnects the latching dog and the brush such that the rod forces the brush to withdraw into the cylindrical body when the latching dog actuates away from the cylindrical body.

A waste disposal system for an oilfield rig includes a container that defines a volume sized to receive and store waste from an oilfield rig; a compression plate positioned in the volume, the compression plate sized to extend between and orthogonal to two sides of the container and in planar parallel with a back wall of the container; at least one powered arm connected to the compression plate and configured to adjust the compression plate between a retracted position in the volume adjacent the back wall and an extended position to compress the waste into at least one portion of compressed waste; and an adjustable door connected to the container opposite the back wall and configured to swing away from the container to release the at least one portion of compressed waste from the volume.

An assembly and a method for powering a wellbore production system. The wellbore production system includes a packer, a piston assembly, an electrical submersible pump, and an electrical cable. The packer moves between an extended position and a retracted position to seal against an inner surface of a wellbore. The piston assembly is coupled to the packer. The piston assembly moves the packer between the extended position and the retracted position. The electrical submersible pump is coupled to the piston assembly. The electrical cable is coupled to the piston assembly and the electrical submersible pump. The electrical cable supplies electrical power to both the piston assembly and the electrical submersible pump.

A system includes a milling assembly with a mill bit and a drill string that mills a new wellbore section. The system further includes a whipstock assembly that is formed by a smart reamer that reams an obstruction in a wellbore, a whipstock that deflects the milling assembly away from the wellbore, and a bypass valve mechanism that controls a fluid flowing through the system. Within the system, the milling assembly is fluidly connected to the whipstock assembly.

The assembly includes a wellbore milling bottom hole assembly (BHA) that can mill through a wellbore liner material and material softer than the wellbore liner material. The wellbore liner includes a first length segment made of the wellbore liner material and a second length segment axially attached to the first length segment. The second length segment is made of the non-metallic material. A window to form a lateral well is in the second length segment. The assembly includes a whipstock that can be installed within the main well in the first length segment of the wellbore liner after the wellbore milling BHA has milled the second length segment. The whipstock can guide the wellbore milling BHA towards the window.

A system includes a spear hook for gripping into a compacted wireline, a spear that deploys the spear hook, and a hook hinge rotatably coupling the spear hook to the spear. The tool also includes a hook activator mounted in the spear to cause expansion and contraction of the spear hook. The spear hook expands and contracts along a path defined by the hook hinge in a radial direction from a spear outer surface of the spear. The tool also includes a compaction component, coupled to the spear, for compacting a wireline to form the compacted wireline.

The assembly includes a tool connection coupled to the body. The tool connection couples a well tool to the body. The assembly includes a control sub-assembly to control the magnetic wheel sub-assemblies and operate the well tool within the wellbore. The assembly includes a power sub-assembly to supply power to the control sub-assembly and the well tool. The assembly includes a backup retrieval mechanism coupled to the body. The backup retrieval mechanism couples to a retrieval tool.
