A charging system for an automated guided vehicle, AGV, is presented. The charging system includes an offboard, meshed charging grid and onboard contact pads. The offboard, meshed charging grid including a charging pole in each grid point, wherein adjacent charging poles are configured with opposite polarity of a charging current. The onboard contact pads include four separate contact pads. An AGV is also presented.

Charging of an AGV

An onboard powertrain for an automated guided vehicle, AGV, is presented herein. The onboard powertrain includes a split-source inverter, SSI, having at least one middle point pole, a positive DC-link pole, and a negative DC-link pole, a battery and an inductor connected in series between the positive or negative DC-link pole and the middle point pole, and a supercapacitor connected between the positive and negative DC-link poles.

Onboard powertrain for an automated guided vehicle

A buck-assisted split-source inverter including a DC link having two voltage rails, at least two pairs of series connected switches, a first connection point and a second connection point for receiving voltage terminals of a fuel cell, one of the two voltage rails forming the first connection point, a switch component and an inductor connected in series having a first end formed of a terminal of the switch component and a second end formed of a terminal of the inductor, the first end forming the second connection point for receiving a voltage terminal of a fuel cell. The inverter further including at least two first diodes, a second diode having first and second terminals, wherein the switch component is adapted to be controlled conductive when any one of the lower switches connected to voltage rail forming the first connection point is controlled conductive.

Buck-assisted split-source inverter

A frequency support system arranged for providing frequency support to an AC grid. The system includes an ES arrangement, and a bi-directional DC/AC power electronic converter interface configured for connecting the ES arrangement with the grid. The ES arrangement includes a plurality of series connected ES groups, each ES group including a plurality of parallel connected ES modules, each ES module including an energy storage interfaced by a bi-directional power electronic ES converter configured for connecting the ES with a DC side of the converter interface.
