Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter may apply at least one of an amount of delay or an amount of Doppler shift to a signal transmission including a first signal for transmission from a first antenna and a second signal for transmission from a second antenna, wherein the second signal is shifted, relative to the first signal, in a delay-Doppler domain, by the at least one of the amount of delay or the amount of Doppler shift. The transmitter may output, in a time-frequency domain, the first signal from the first antenna and the second signal from a second antenna. Numerous other aspects are described.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a first user equipment (UE) are described. A first UE may receive one or more control signaling messages including first scheduling parameters for a common codeword associated with downlink data for the first UE and with downlink data for a second UE and one or more second scheduling parameters for a private codeword associated with additional downlink data for the first UE. The first UE may receive a physical downlink shared channel message including the common codeword mapped to one or more first layers of the physical downlink shared channel message and the private codeword mapped to one or more second layers of the physical downlink shared channel message. Additionally or alternatively, the first UE may receive a first physical downlink shared channel message including the common codeword and a second physical downlink shared channel message including the private codeword.

Signaling framework for rate splitting

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A network entity may transmit control signaling to a user equipment (UE) to schedule a downlink message and a set of uplink signals for conveying feedback in response to the downlink message. The downlink message may include a first portion with information for the UE and a second portion with information for the UE and at least one other UE based on a rate splitting procedure. The UE may transmit uplink signaling that indicates one or more UE capabilities, communication parameters, or both. The network entity may determine a time period between a final symbol of the downlink message and a first symbol of the set of uplink symbols, one or more parameters to apply for transmission of the downlink message, or a data rate for the downlink message based on the UE capabilities and parameters reported by the UE.

User equipment processing capability for wireless communications with rate splitting

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) for sidelink communication. An example method include determining a set of resources, in a resource pool of one or more resource pools, to use for transmitting information to a group of receiver UEs (RX UEs), transmitting to the group of RX UEs an indication that the TX UE will transmit the information to the group of RX UEs using rate splitting multiple access (RSMA), and transmitting the information to the group of RX UEs in the set of resources using RSMA. Transmitting the information to the group using RSMA may include transmitting a common message including combined control information to the group of RX UEs using a first precoder and transmitting individual private data messages to each RX UE in the group of RX UEs using separate respective precoders different from the first precoder.

Rate splitting multiple access for sidelink communication

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive scheduling information for a set of uplink transmissions of the UE. The UE may identify a set of time-domain windows for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling. The UE may transmit the set of uplink transmissions using a DMRS bundling configuration that is based at least in part on the set of time-domain windows for DMRS bundling. The method comprises: splitting a first individual message associated with a first device into at least a first common part and a first private part; splitting a second individual message associated with a second device into at least a second common part and a second private part; combining the first common part and the second common part to provide a common message; assigning a common group identifier to a group of devices comprising the first device and the second device; processing the common message, wherein the processing comprises scrambling the common message using the common group identifier; and transmitting the processed common message to the group of devices.

Aspects of methods, computer-readable mediums, and apparatuses are provided for a user equipment (UE) or a base station. The UE receives, from a base station, an indication to transmit a scheduling request (SR). The UE receives a downlink transmission triggering hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback in one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources. The UE transmits the SR to the base station in the one or more PUCCH resources for the HARQ feedback. The base station transmits, to a UE, an indication to transmit an SR. The base station transmits a downlink transmission triggering HARQ feedback in one or more PUCCH resources. The base station receives the SR from the UE in the one or more PUCCH resources.

Network initiated polling for uplink scheduling request

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration associated with a plurality of search spaces, wherein the plurality of search spaces are distributed across a plurality of slots. The UE may drop all search spaces of an identified slot based at least in part on one or more overbooking conditions. A receiving device may receive (e.g., from a transmitting device) one or more control messages indicating a first physical resource block (PRB) bundling size for a first set of two or more layers of a downlink shared channel and a second PRB bundling size for a second set of two or more layers of the downlink shared channel. The receiving device may receive a downlink transmission (e.g., a downlink shared channel transmission) that includes multiple codewords, such as a first codeword corresponding to the first set of two or more layers and a second codeword corresponding to the second set of two or more layers. The receiving device may receive the downlink transmission and may decode each codeword based on one or more channel estimates using the first PRB bundling size and the second PRB bundling size.

A first UE may be configured to receive a common message associated with the first UE and at least one second UE.
