This application is directed to systems and techniques for configuring audio/video devices in a geographical area. For instance, a graphical user interface (GUI) may include a representation of the area as well as representations of devices installed in the area. Using the GUI, a user may associate devices to copy device settings and/or preferences from one device to another. For example, a newly-installed device can be provisioned and/or configured using data from another, previously-installed device.

Associating and controlling security devices

A method includes receiving video data from an A/V recording and communication device (A/V device) having a camera, the video data representing an object in a field of view (FOV) of the camera. The method further includes receiving, from the A/V device, identifying information for a wireless device proximate the object in the FOV of the camera (the FOV identifying information). The method further includes, after receiving the FOV identifying information, storing the video data and the FOV identifying information in a memory. The method further includes receiving identifying information for one or more wireless devices associated with activity of interest (the identifying information of interest). The method further includes determining that the FOV identifying information matches the identifying information of interest. The method further includes, after determining that the FOV identifying information matches the identifying information of interest, creating a record associating the video data with activity of interest.

Identifying and locating objects by associating video data of the objects with signals identifying wireless devices belonging to the objects

Methods for a speaker device in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, a method for a speaker device is provided, the method comprising transmitting a first provisioning beacon signal using the communication module; receiving, in response to the provisioning beacon signal, at least one credential signal from a network device configured to provide an access point, wherein the at least one credential signal includes credential data; storing the credential data in the non-volatile memory; attempting to connect to the access point using the credential data; determining whether the attempt to connect to the access point was successful; and playing a first audio prompt, using the speaker, upon determining an unsuccessful connection to the access point, wherein the first audio prompt comprises a statement indicating that the connection to the access point was unsuccessful.
