A pharmaceutical, cosmetic or cosmeceutical composition which exhibits a reverse thermal gelation is disclosed herein, as well as a composition-of-matter comprising a cross-linked form of the composition, and a process for producing the composition-of-matter. The composition is characterized as exhibiting a shear storage modulus of at least 100 Pa at temperatures in a range of from 17&#xb0; C. to 21&#xb0; C., and a shear storage modulus of less than 100 Pa at a temperature of 4&#xb0; C., and as being curable in a physiological medium, and/or comprises a polymer-polypeptide conjugate comprising a polypeptide having attached thereto at least two polymeric moieties, wherein at least one of said polymeric moieties further comprises at least one polymerizable group; a poloxamer; and a poloxamer substituted by at least one polymerizable group. Further disclosed herein are uses of the composition and/or composition-of-matter in the treatment of tissue damage or loss.
