A directional accent luminaire includes a housing having a front portion including a front compartment, a rear portion with a rear opening extending from the front portion, and a wall positioned between the front portion and the rear portion. A cover is removably connected over the rear portion to selectively enclose the rear opening. A light emitter is positioned in the front compartment for emitting light in a direction away from the rear portion. A control component is positioned in the front compartment for controlling the light emitter. An internal conductor is electrically connected to the control component and extends from the front portion into the rear portion. The rear portion includes a junction compartment for housing a connection between a power supply conductor and the internal conductor. The removal of the cover provides access to the junction compartment through the rear opening.

A multi-positionable outdoor luminaire includes a housing having a front portion including a front compartment, a rear portion extending from the front portion, and a wall positioned between the front portion and the rear portion. A cover is removably connected over the rear portion. A light emitter is positioned in the front compartment for emitting light. A control component is positioned in the front compartment for controlling the light emitter. An internal conductor is electrically connected to the control component and extends from the front portion into the rear portion. The rear portion includes a junction compartment for housing a connection between a power supply conductor and the internal conductor.

The present invention provides a buckle and tongue combination for restraining an occupant in a seat, the buckle and tongue combination. The combination includes a housing, a frame located within the housing, two pawls disposed upon the frame, each pawl having a distal end and a proximal end, each distal end having a release abutment extending from the respective pawl, a hinge pin disposed at the proximal end of each pawl for pivotally coupling the pawls to the frame, a tongue adapted to be disposed adjacent the two pawls, the tongue interlockingly engages the pawls, a biasing member disposed within the housing, the biasing member engages the pawls urging the pawls to a locked position with respect to the adjacent tongue and a release button slidably secured along the frame, the release button biased in a first or locked position, the release button having at least one inclined abutment surface which engages the release abutments and urges the two pawls towards an unlocked position when the release button is urged toward a second position opposite from the first position, whereby the user is able to release the tongue from the buckle upon depressing the release button toward the second or unlocked position. In one embodiment, the tongues include a molded portion and an alignment key so as to assure proper orientation of the tongue with the housing. In addition, the housing includes an ejector contact pad which acts against the alignment key to eject the tongues. The contact pad is finished so as to provide an aesthetic appearance. In another embodiment, the tongue may comprise a single tongue rather than dual tongues. Still further, another embodiment provides overlapping tongues wherein a first tongue includes a pawl spreader and a second tongue includes a pawl lock.

Multi-point buckle for restraint system

An adjuster is provided for a restraint system having a belt which extends through the adjuster and includes a free end and another end or fastening end which is adapted to be secured to an object. The adjuster allows adjustment of the length of the belt between the adjuster and the fastening end. The adjuster includes a frame having a base member with an opening. The opening defines a first or edge plate and a second or securement plate. The first plate and the opening define a belt engaging edge. A clamping member is pivotally mounted between upright side flanges, the clamping member includes a pivoting lever and a load bar having a clamping edge, and a resilient spring member which urges the clamping member to rotate the clamping edge toward the belt engaging edge of the frame.

The present invention provides a buckle and frame for a restraint system resisting to a harsh environment. The buckle comprising a frame having a base wall, the base wall includes a debris exit opening; and a cover which encloses the frame and forms at least one vent opening and at least one passage which couples the debris exit opening to the vent opening. Debris, dust and other foreign objects which find there way into the buckle are not necessarily trapped but rather are presented with a means of exiting the buckle via the vent opening.
