A connecting element is provided for connecting an induction coil to a coil carrier of an induction cooking hob. The connecting element is made of an elastic material and formed as a single-piece part. The connecting element includes a first snap-fit portion connectable to a cut-out of the induction coil, and a spring portion arrangeable between the induction coil and the coil carrier, so that the spring portion provides a distance therebetween. The connecting element includes a second snap-fit portion extending opposite to the first snap-fit portion. The second snap-fit portion is connectable to a cut-out of the coil carrier.

A cooking appliance includes a cooking cavity adapted to cook food therein; and a steam generator adapted to supply steam for cooking to the cooking cavity. The steam generator includes an L-shaped conduit for steamable fluid having one vertical arm and one horizontal arm, and a heating element located adjacent and external to the L-shaped conduit. The vertical arm is substantially vertical in an operative position of the steam generator.

A switch box for housing a switch underneath a cooktop is disclosed. The switch is connected to a control member accessible above the cooktop to accept user inputs. The switch box has an air-insulation channel defined between first and second spaced-apart barrier walls. In desirable embodiments the first and second barrier walls are integrally formed with other components of the switch box from plastic as a single-piece part.

The invention relates to an oven comprising an oven cavity () with a closable opening () for receiving food to be cooked or baked, an evaporation cavity () in a bottom wall () of the oven cavity () and an evaporation heating element () being arranged for heating the evaporation cavity (). According to the invention the evaporation cavity () is formed as an embossment in the bottom wall () of the oven cavity () and the heating power of the evaporation heating element () is adapted to evaporate a volume of water to be evaporated that corresponds to the volume of such an embossment.
