A system for measuring the flow rate in a microfluidic pipe having n pressure sensors arranged in series on a pipe and measuring the pressure Pi of the liquid passing through same. These sensors being separated from one another by pipe portions Ri. Each pipe portion having a hydraulic resistance Rhi, thus making it possible to measure the pressure variations or head loss ΔPi between two consecutive sensors of the liquid flowing successively through these hydraulic resistances. The comparison between the estimated flow rates Di=ΔPi/Ri, making it possible to determine the fouling of the microfluidic pipe.

System for measuring the flow rate of liquid in a microfluidic pipe

A microfluidic thermalization chip, a system using such a chip and a PCR method for detecting DNA sequences. The chip contains a block of material in which a cavity is configured to contain at least one fluid. The cavity includes at least one inlet orifice and at least one outlet orifice. The inlet orifice for the fluid is connected to at least one, preferably at least two, fluid-injecting channels. Further, the chip includes at least one microfluidic channel for bypassing the cavity. The channel is connected by a first end to at least one of the fluid-injecting channels. The junction between the bypassing channel and the fluid-injecting channel is located at a distance L from the inlet orifice of the fluid-injecting channel. The distance L is preferably smaller than 2 cm.

A micro-structured substrate to support a liquid sample having a lower face and an upper face. At least one surface cavity of volume Vopening onto the upper face and forming a zone for analyzing the liquid sample. A first groove having a first volume V, positioned around each surface cavity and opening onto the upper face thereof. The substrate also includes at least one second groove opening onto the upper face thereof and positioned around the first groove. The sum of the volumes of the second grooves is equal to V. The volume V+Vis greater than or equal to 0.05 V, preferably 0.1 V. An analysis assembly including the substrate and the use thereof is also contemplated herein.

At least part of the wall of the microchannel is made of and/or coated interiorly with a conducting and polarizable material or group of materials constituting a polarizable interface or a network of polarizable interfaces. In that at least one electrode or at least one electrode network is connected at at least one point of the polarizable material or group of materials, the surface electrical conductance of said material being equal to at least 100 nS.

Microfluidic device for separating, fractionating, or preconcentrating analytes contained in an electrolyte

A device for selective preconcentration/detection of charged analytes contained in an electrolyte having at least two reservoirs separated by at least one rectilinear microchannel with no lengthwise axis X intersection and having at least one controllable voltage source configured to generate a potential difference between the ends of the rectilinear microchannel. The device has means for generating a controllable pressure that is associated with at least one of the reservoirs and is able to generate a pressure gradient between the two ends of the microchannel. The microchannel has, in its median part, means that are configured to generate at least one change in the surface area to volume ratio charge, the device configured to selectively concentrate the charged analytes in the median part of the microchannel upstream and/or downstream of the means configured to generate at least one change in the surface area to volume ration charge.

Microfluidic device for detection of charged analytes contained in an electrolyte and a method for detecting charged analytes contained in an electrolyte

A device for dielectrophoretic separation of particles contained in a fluid, includes two sets of electrodes, each of the two sets of electrodes being brought to a different potential, so as to generate an electric field inside said fluid. The two sets of electrodes are positioned inside a chamber, itself provided with a particle collecting surface. Each of the two sets of electrodes is immersed in the fluid inside the chamber and is located in a plane different from the plane of the particle collecting surface. The two sets of electrodes are supplied with electrical current in phase opposition. The potential of each of the two sets of electrodes have a gradient based on the distance along a direction perpendicular to the plane of the particle collecting surface.
