A control method for controlling aerodynamic means of an aircraft having mechanically decoupled flight controls enabling the aircraft to be piloted by at least two pilots. The aircraft has at least two control members operated by respective ones of the at least two pilots and each enabling control signals to be generated for causing the aerodynamic means to move relative to an incident air stream. The control method includes piloting logic ('operational' logic). The operational logic includes a dual operating mode in which each control member can control the aerodynamic means. In the dual operating mode, only one of the at least two control members, (the 'activated' member), has exclusive control over a full travel amplitude of the aerodynamic means. The other control member, (the &#x201c;deactivated&#x201d; member), then is temporarily inoperative on the aerodynamic means.

A system of an aircraft for signaling the presence of an obstacle during visual flight, which system includes at least one onboard unit to be installed in an aircraft to be equipped, which onboard unit includes an onboard database that stores at least one obstacle to be avoided during flight. A method of contributing to making safe a synthetic vision display of an aircraft for displaying on viewing means an at least partial view in perspective of the environment of the aircraft together with piloting symbology. During the method, at least one check point (P, P, P) is defined that is situated in the environment and that co-operates with a reference point (Pr) of the aircraft to form a first straight line (D). Thereafter, a first display function (F) is used to calculate display coordinates (a,b), (a,b), (a,b) for each check point (P, P, P) on the viewing means, and then the inverse (F)of a second display function (F) is used together with the display coordinates (a,b), (a,b), (a,b) to calculate a second straight line (D) passing through the reference point (Dr). Finally, the first and second lines (D, D) corresponding to a common check point (P, P, P) are compared in order to define whether the synthetic vision display is trustworthy.

Method contributing to making safe a synthetic graphics representation of the view outside an aircraft

The present invention relates to a piloting assistance system for an aircraft that is provided with a controller for determining piloting information. The system comprises at least one display system wearable on the head of a pilot, the display system being provided with a left display suitable for being viewed by a left eye of the pilot and a right display suitable for being viewed by a right eye of the pilot, the controller including a first processor for processing the information and a second processor for processing the information, the processors including stored instructions for causing the information to be displayed simultaneously and respectively on the left display and on the right display.
