Disclosed is a friction assembly for a railway disc brake system for railway rolling stock, the friction assembly including a brake head on the one hand, and on the other hand at least one wear plate made of friction material including a first face which is the friction face, and a second face opposite to the first face, the wear plate being suitable for being integrally secured to the brake head, the friction assembly further including a part able to collect the particles emitted by the wear plate. The part includes a connection able to engage with a fastening element serving to fasten the friction assembly to a brake shoe in such a way that the part is held in a position of being integrally secured to the brake head when the fastening element is fastening the friction assembly to the brake shoe.

Disclosed is a friction assembly for a railway disc brake system, this friction assembly including, on the one hand, a brake head including an upper face with a receiving slide, and a lower face, and on the other hand, shoe of friction material and including a first face which is the friction face, and a second face with a profile member configured to engage with the receiving slide, the shoe including a duct establishing sealed communication between a first space bordered by the first face and a second space bordered by the second face, the friction assembly further including a through-hole of central axis A, provided in the brake head and located in line with the duct, and a connection bushing in the through-hole and forming a connection with the duct. The friction assembly includes a return mechanism capable of pressing the connection bushing against the profile member.

A brake pad includes a sole plate with outer and inner faces, and a lining made of friction material fixed to the inner face, the lining being delimited by friction and attachment faces, and inner, outer, rear, and front edges. The lining has a collection groove open on the friction face near the rear edge, the sole plate including a suction hole in fluid communication with the collection groove, this hole being connected to a negative pressure source. The collection groove is extended, at an end, by a duct of which the outer end is open away from the friction face, via an inlet, and of which the inner end is open in the collection groove via an outlet forming a cross-sectional jump with the groove. During operation, a negative pressure exists between the inlet and the collection groove one on each side of the duct.

System for suctioning braking particles with optimized control

The brake pad for a disk brake includes a lining and a plate. The lining includes:&#x2014;a friction face and a fastening face;&#x2014;a rear edge;&#x2014;an inner edge and an outer edge; and&#x2014;a collection groove extending into the inner edge or outer edge. The plate has a hole, the hole being connected to a vacuum source via communication element. The lining has a rear region including the rear edge and the collection groove, and a chamfered portion such that an area of a friction surface of the rear region increases when a thickness of the rear region decreases, the collection groove being located at a distance from a free surface of the chamfered portion and having a cross-section which extends obliquely towards the free surface of the chamfered portion.
