A module heatsink lifter for raising and lowering a heatsink enabling insertion and removal of a module includes a fixed base; a hinge connector of the fixed based coupled to the heatsink; and an actuator mechanism to raise and lower the heatsink through rotation about the hinge connector, wherein the actuator mechanism operates from a front faceplate based on push and pull movement to raise and lower the heatsink into a raised position and a lowered position. The heatsink includes a Thermal Interface Material (TIM) on a bottom portion which creates a thermal connection with the module when the heatsink is in the lowered position. The module can include a pluggable optical module.

Optical module heatsink lifter and method

A device cover for temperature control of a component device includes at least one heating element enclosed using the device cover, and multiple sections. Each section is located at a distinct location on the device cover and includes a reflection angle for the distinct location. The reflection angle is configured to reflect heat to the component device enclosed using the device cover, the heat originating from the at least one heating element.

An electronic shelf assembly configured to selectively receive a circuit pack including a pivotable handle incorporating a retention hook, the electronic shelf assembly including: a shelf assembly housing configured to selectively receive the circuit pack; a support rail coupled to the shelf assembly housing; a latch rail member movably coupled to the support rail and defining a recess configured to selectively receive and retain the retention hook of the pivotable handle of the circuit pack, thereby selectively securing the circuit pack within the shelf assembly housing; and a spring mechanism coupled to the latch rail member and the support rail, wherein the spring mechanism allows for relative movement of the latch rail member with respect to the support rail while biasing the latch rail member towards the support rail, thereby selectively biasing the circuit pack into the shelf assembly housing.
