A cloud based system for vehicle maintenance to a target vehicle includes a cloud based on-site vehicle maintenance service. A GPS-based proximity module in a first server associated with the on-site vehicle maintenance service receives both current GPS coordinates of a service vehicle associated with a first maintenance and service provider and current GPS coordinates of the target vehicle of a customer. The current GPS coordinates are used for at least one maintenance and service delivery session with the target vehicle of the customer. The vehicle maintenance and service operation includes 1) directing the service vehicle to the target vehicle of the customer, 2) opening and/or unlocking the target vehicle of the customer, 3) ensuring the one or more vehicle maintenance and service jobs have been performed, and 4) ensuring the target vehicle of the customer is closed and locked.

On-demand and on-site vehicle maintenance service

A geo-proximity Vehicle Alert and Access System (VAAS) is discussed that has a cloud based server having a GPS-based proximity system to control and track a package exchange process, to speed up a package delivery and pick-up process, and to ensure security for the package exchange process. The cloud based server is configured to receive both current GPS coordinates of a package carrier's vehicle and current GPS coordinates of a target vehicle for at least one of package delivery to the target vehicle and package pick up from the target vehicle. The cloud based server is configured to send to the target vehicle the commands to wake-up an on-board telematics module, to give an alert, to unlock the target vehicle, and to lock the target vehicle after receiving a confirmation of the package exchange process.

Geo-proximity vehicle alert and access system for security and package exchange efficiency

A cloud based system for a package exchange with a vehicle service is discussed. The system can have servers having processors, ports, and databases and a security module running on the processors to receive a virtual key and one of a request for package exchange with a vehicle service, data, or both, from a package delivery vehicle. The virtual key has a first shelf life and is used for authentication of communications from the delivery vehicle. The security module can receive a security token having a second shelf life from a user. The security token is used for verification of the user and target vehicle. After the first authentication and in an overlap window of the two shelf lives, the security module can send the one or more commands to an on-board actuation module of the target vehicle to cause an electro-mechanical operation in the target vehicle.

Hacker security solution for package transfer to and from a vehicle

A key fob simulator for sending actuation command to a vehicle is discussed. The key fob has memory buffers, processors, and a transceiver that uses wireless communications to communicate with a backend cloud-based system. A RF transmitter of the key fob can transmit RF signals to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module of the vehicle. A mapping module includes a map-calculating circuit to calculate map coordinates of the key fob. A security module can receive a rolling security key of the RKE module of the vehicle. The key fob includes buttons that can be pushed by a user of the key fob to generate actuation commands by the security module. Using the RF transmitter, an actuation command and the rolling security key can be sent from security module to the RKE module of the vehicle. The RKE module then executes the actuation command after validating the rolling security key.
