Systems and methods for automatically tracking tools and managing tool inventory. Tools may be assigned to a work group or crew. Tools are tracked and monitored to determine whether the tools are with their assigned group, relocated to a different group, missing, or left behind at a job site. For relocated tools, the tool tracking system may identify and output the time and the group to which the tool has been relocated. For tools that are missing, the system may compute and output the group or crew, time, and location in the form of a street address, latitude, longitude, and/or map where the missing tool was last seen. The system may also send out real-time notifications (e.g., SMS text messages, emails, phone calls) to designated personnel so that an appropriate action can be taken. The tool tracking system also acts as an inventory management system for tools.

System and method for automatic tool tracking, monitoring, and inventory management

A method, computer program, and a wireless system for scheduling half duplex frequency division duplex bursts includes populating a burst frame having an uplink sub-frame and a downlink sub-frame with one or more block pairs, each block pair including an uplink block and a down link block. Populating the burst frame includes identifying a largest unscheduled block pair, and appending one of the uplink block and the downlink block of the identified block pair to a shortest sub-frame string. Populating the burst frame also includes appending the other of the uplink block and the downlink block to a diagonally opposed sub-frame string. The method also includes determining if a conflict exists between the uplink block and the downlink block for each scheduled block pair.

Half duplex frequency division duplex scheduling

A method provides seamless porting of a user telephone number from a first telephone service provider network to a second telephone service provider network. A network interface device is provided that is interconnected to the first telephone service provider network, a second telephone service provider network, and at least one user communications device. The network interface device may be remotely controlled using the second telephone service provider network to transfer the user telephone number from the first network to the second network.
