The invention relates to a belt rectractor () for a seatbelt of a motor vehicle. The belt retractor () comprises a belt spool () which is rotationally connected to a belt spool-side end of a torsioning rod, said torsioning rod being operatively connected to a locking mechanism () at a locking mechanism-side end. In a locked state, the locking mechanism-side end of the torsioning rod is rotationally fixed to a frame (). The belt spool-side end can then be rotated relative to the locking mechanism-side end in an unwinding direction () under the effect of torsion from the torsioning rod. The belt spool () is additionally rotationally fixed to the frame () in the unwinding direction () in a stopped state of a stopping mechanism (). The stopped state is set of the belt spool-side end is rotated by a specified number of rotations relative to the locking mechanism-side end in the locked state of the locking mechanism (). The stopping mechanism () comprises a locking pawl which is mounted on the belt spool ().

Belt retractor

The invention provides in a best tensioner (), especially a rotary tensioner, for a seat belt comprising an elongate and preferably cylindrical pressure cylinder (, a piston () movably supported in the pressure cylinder () in the longitudinal direction which is adapted to be pressurized with fluid under pressure and thus to be moved into a tensioning direction (S), a thrust means () interacting with the piston () and a stop () provided on the inside () of the pressure cylinder () to which the piston () can be adjacent in the tensioning direction (S) at an end position at which the piston () seals the pressure cylinder (), that the stop () is made of a plastically deformable material and is plastically deformed by the piston () at the end position so that the piston is in sealing contact with the inside of the pressure cylinder ().

Belt tensioner

A belt tensioner for a seat belt system comprises a pinion () pivoted about an axis of rotation A which is adapted to be coupled to a best reel of a belt retractor, a drive unit, a force transmission element () and a guide means. By activating the drive unit the force transmission element () is moved along the guide means so that it engages in the pinion (). The guide means includes a portion () which is deformable in a direction x perpendicular to the axis of rotation A of the pinion () and to the direction of movement y of the force transmission element ().

Belt tensioner for a safety belt system

A belt retractor () for a seat belt comprising a belt reel (), a belt tensioner () adapted to drive the belt reel () in a winding direction and an extension limiter () adapted to restrict the number of revolutions of the belt reel () in an unwinding direction in the activated state. The extension limiter () is communicated with the belt tensioner () so that the extension limiter () can only be activated after the belt tensioner () has been activated.
