A system and method for evaluating blood flow in a vessel of a patient includes a catheter containing a first pressure sensor and a second pressure sensor and configured to simultaneously measure pressure data within a vessel on either side of a stenosis. Pressure data generated by the catheter includes a first series of pressure measurements from the first pressure sensor a second series of pressure measurements from the second pressure sensor. The system and method further includes a fractional flow reserve (FFR) calculation module executable on one or more processors and configured to calculate a stability index for each of two or more portions of the pressure data, wherein each stability index indicates at least one of heart rate stability and catheter stability for the respective portion of the pressure data. An optimal time window is identified based on the stability indexes for calculation of FFR based on the pressure data. A FFR value is then calculated based on the pressure data in the optimal time window.

System and method for evaluating blood flow in a vessel

A physiological data acquisition system includes at least one interface module and a base unit configured to communicatively connect to the at least one interface module to receive the physiological signals recorded by a catheter. Each interface module is formed by mating at least a first one of the two or more different personality modules to a dock. The dock has a multi-modal connection port configured to directly connect to a dock connector of any one of the two or more different personality modules so as to receive physiological signals therefrom. The first personality module includes a first catheter connector configured to receive a connection end of the catheter so as to receive physiological signals therefrom, and a first dock connector configured to connect to the multi-modal connection port of the dock so as to provide the physiological signals thereto.

A system for analyzing noise in one or more electrophysiology studies is provided. The system includes at least one processor and at least one memory device. The memory device stores an application that adapts the at least one processor to: identify, based at least in part on a machine learning model, one or more noise fingerprints within data derived at least in part from one or more study signals acquired from one or more patients during the one or more electrophysiology studies.

The interface control module can be integrated with the catheter control handle or can be formed as a separate component that is releasably attachable to the catheter control handle to enable a use to operate the mapping/imaging/recording system from the catheter control handle being utilized in an interventional medical procedure.

In the present invention, a medical device authorization system is employed to associate software contained on a medical computing system/computer, such as an EP mapping and recording system, that pertains to a specific medical device, e.g., a transducer, connected to the computer such that the software is only utilized by the computer in conjunction with a catheter that is authorized for use with the computer. The authorization system utilizes an analog authorization waveform/signal that is mixed with the analog device/catheter measured signals transmitted to the computer. The authorization waveform distorts the measured signals in a manner that renders the signals able to be displayed by the system but unusable, unless the computer includes a signal filter operably connected to the device/transducer interface that is configured to remove the interfering authorization waveform from the measured signal.

A method of identifying gaps between electrophysiology (EP) ablation points may comprise: obtaining a plurality of ablation points recorded from a completed electrophysiology ablation procedure; digitally mapping the plurality of ablation points to an anatomical model corresponding to the completed electrophysiology ablation procedure; calculating ablation gap probability distributions for each of the plurality of ablation points based on ablation tolerance variables associated with each of the plurality of ablation points; and overlaying the ablation gap probability distributions on to the digitally mapped plurality of ablation points on the anatomical model. In this way, ablation gaps may be non-invasively identified prior to patient discharge, thereby allowing for further EP treatment to remove the ablation gaps while reducing readmission rates. Furthermore, by representing ablation points using calculated ablation burn density distributions and ablation gap probabilities, the accuracy of identifying ablation gaps may be increased.

Methods and systems for electrophysiology ablation gap analysis

An electrophysiology data acquisition system that receives physiological signals from at least one catheter includes an amplifier and at least one noise reduction circuit operatively connected to the amplifier and configured to cancel interference in the physiological signals from the catheter. A drive selection circuit is controllable to connect any one of two or more available electrodes to the noise reduction circuit such that the connected electrode becomes an equalization drive electrode for the catheter. An equalization control module is executable on a processor and configured to select the equalization drive electrode from the two or more available electrodes and to control the drive selection circuit to connect the selected equalization drive electrode to the noise reduction circuit.
