Examples are disclosed that relate to materials discovery using machine learning models. One example provides a method enacted on a computing system. The method comprises receiving a query comprising one or more of element information and material property information, and, based on the query, retrieving material data from a materials information database. The material data comprises structural information for each material within a set of materials matching the query, the set comprising one or more materials, and for one or more materials in the set of materials, one or more predicted material properties determined using one or more trained machine learning models. The method further comprises outputting the material data.

Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for creating and managing a visual representation of OLAP attributes and relationships for a dimension. A visual representation is generated that contains an arrangement of shapes with connections between shapes. One or more sub-elements are contained within at least some of the shapes. Connections between the shapes represent relationships between attributes in an OLAP dimension. The containment of a respective sub-element within a respective shape represents a relationship between an attribute being represented by the respective sub-element and an attribute being represented by the respective shape. Shapes representing OLAP attributes and relationships can be programmatically grouped and ungrouped. When an attribute does not have any outgoing relationships, when an attribute only has one incoming relationship, and when the attribute is not a level in a user-defined hierarchy, a grouping process is performed to put the attribute in an expandable shape belonging to another attribute.

The subject invention relates to systems and methods that extend the network data access capabilities of mark-up language protocols. In one aspect, a network data modeling system is provided. The system includes a protocol component that employs a computerized mark-up language to facilitate data interactions between network components. An extension component operates with the protocol component to support the data transactions, where the extension component supplies various commands above standard network and database protocols. An object model is provided as a wrapper to the extensions in order to support various online and offline database development applications.

The subject invention relates to systems and methods that extend the network data access capabilities of mark-up language protocols. In one aspect, a network data transfer system is provided. The system includes a protocol component that employs a computerized mark-up language to facilitate data interactions between network components, whereby the data interactions were previously limited or based on a statement command associated with the markup language. An extension component operates with the protocol component to support the data transactions, where the extension component supplies at least one other command from the statement command to facilitate the data interactions.
