There is provided an improvement for developing an application between an application server and one of multiple client devices where the application server is disposed remotely of the one of multiple client devices. In one example, an application behavior model (ABM) is produced and stored at the application server. Using an output corresponding with the one of multiple devices, program code for a client application is produced from a selected one of several configurable templates. Selected input, generated with the ABM and the program code, is received at the application server to cause a sequence of processing steps to be performed with the application server. In another example, the ABM is received at the one of multiple client devices, the one of multiple client devices including a user interface (UI). The ABM and client application are used to render a first page at the UI for providing an action identifier. The action identifier is sent to the application server for causing a sequence of processing steps to be performed with the application server. Pursuant to performing the sequence of processing steps, the ABM and client application conjunctively cause a second page to be rendered on the UI.

Method and system for generating and executing client/server applications

A computer-implemented user profiling system includes a human communication retrieval component which, for an entity employing a business process management system, captures communication data in response to a given business process being implemented by the business process management system. A human task monitoring and contextual analysis component captures user behavior information associated with the business process. A profile analysis engine is also included, which receives the user behavior information and communication data and updates a user profile corresponding to at least one of the users, based on the user behavior information and communication data.

A method and apparatus for detecting an error in a business process via an exchange of email messages. In one example, the method may be executed by a processor of a business process analysis server (BPAS). For example, the method includes receiving an email, wherein the email includes an address of the BPAS, analyzing the email to determine at least one feature, determining the business process based on the at least one feature, determining one or more variables that is associated with the business process, detecting the error in the business process associated with the email based on at least variable of the one or more variables associated with the business process and generating an alert email in response to the error that is detected, wherein the alert email requests a correction to the at least one variable to complete the business process.

System and method for automatic process error detection and correction

A computer-implemented method and system provide for externalizing data in process execution environments. The method includes extracting a data model from a domain specification. The data model includes a set of business objects, at least some of the business objects being linked to a domain-specific activity type by a business object relation. A database is generated from the data model which is accessible through an application program interface. Provision is made for a user to generate a domain-specific process model with links to business objects in the domain specification. The domain-specific process model is transformed to a domain-independent process model which has access to the database through the application program interface at runtime.

Data management externalization for workflow definition and execution

A computer-implemented business process deployment system and method are disclosed. The system includes memory which stores a design tool which receives a business process description and generates a deployment package composite based thereon. The business process description includes a set of business process activities for a business process, each of the business process activities in the set depending on abstract services for implementing the business process activity. An abstract bindings repository stores mappings between the abstract services and corresponding real services employed by an associated real service employing system. The deployment package composite is configured to bind the abstract service dependencies to the real services in the abstract bindings repository to generate a deployable business process composite that is deployable in the associated real service employing system. A processor implements the design tool.
