A blade damper with a magnetic contaminants trap includes, a housing defining a cavity, a piston in operable communication with the housing dividing the cavity into at least a first chamber and a second chamber, a passageway in operable communication with the cavity configured to allow fluid within the cavity to move between the first chamber and the second chamber through the passageway, and at least one magnet in operable communication with fluid in at least one of the cavity and the passageway, such that magnetic contaminants are prevented from freely moving about within the fluid after having been attracted toward the at least one magnet by a magnetic field of the at least one magnet.

A linkage assembly configured for use on a rotor blade having a first section and a second section, the second section being configured to rotate about a blade fold axis between an aligned position and a rotated position relative to the first section is provided. The linkage assembly includes a bracket having a first portion rotatably coupled to the first section about the blade fold axis and a second portion mounted to the second section. A spacer assembly is positioned between the bracket and an adjacent wall of the second section. The overall thickness of the spacer assembly is adjustable to control a distance between the second section and the bracket to adjust the rotated position.

System for shimming blade fold angle about an axis of rotation

A fastener assembly includes a first component having a back face and a first mating face opposing the back face, and a second component having a front face and a second mating face opposing the front face. The first component and the second component arranged such that the first mating face is closest to the second mating face. A bushing is installed through the first component, an outer surface of the bushing having frictional engagement with the first component to retain the bushing thereat. A threaded fastener extends through the bushing and the second component, and transmits a load into the bushing. A nut is secured to the fastener at the second component to retain the second component at the first component and which induces the load into the fastener. The frictional engagement between the bushing and the first component is configured to resist the load applied to the fastener.
