A device for continuously preparing a hydraulically setting mass comprises a tubular housing having a downstream outlet opening and an upstream supply station for a dry component material of the mass, the supply station including a storage bin for the dry material. A driven rotating shaft extends from the storage bin through the tubular housing towards the outlet opening, rotation of the shaft causing a feed flow in the direction of the outlet opening, and the rotating shaft is equipped with a dosing screw feeding the dry material out of the storage bin, a plurality of radially projecting mixing blades for mixing the material fed by the dosing screw, and an implement for finely granulating the mixed material downstream of the mixing blades, the granulating implement being comprised of at least two interdigitating comb-like elements, one of the comb-like elements being carried by the shaft for rotation therewith and another comb-like element being affixed to the tubular housing.

Device and process for continuous supply of hydraulically setting

A method for the continuous production of plates and/or shaped bodies of fibre reinforced hydraulic setting masses is described in which the mass is provided in a predetermined thickness over the entire width of the plate to be produced, on a substrate continuously moved by a belt. Fibre cuttings from a cutting device are dispersed in a desired distribution onto the surface of the mass moving with the substrate and these are subsequently incorporated into the mass by a tool acting uniformly over the entire width of the mass. The raw plate can be further processed in its still deformable condition and brought into a desired final shape.

A hydraulically setting mass having a small tendency to cracking and a felt-like structure when freshly mixed while showing no cracks or only microscopic cracks when in the hardened condition comprises essentially a fast-hardening hydraulic cement binder, water, alkali-resistant mineral fibers and additives. The freshly mixed mass is applied in a layer to the surface of a tube or the like, the applied mass is completely covered with a sheet and the mass is pressed against the surface with the sheet.
