Herein is disclosed 2H-benzothieno[3,2-c]pyrazol-3-amine derivatives, therapeutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, processes for their preparation, methods of using the derivatives and pharmaceutical compositions. The derivatives are useful for producing analgesia in a mammal. In addition, some of the derivatives are useful for inhibiting gastric acid secretion, convulsions, anxiety and aggression, and producing muscle relaxation, hypnosis and sedation in a mammal.

Herein is disclosed benzofuro[3,2-c]pyrazol-3-amine derivatives, therapeutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, processes for their preparation, methods of using the derivatives and pharmaceutical compositions. The derivatives are useful for producing analgesia in a mammal. Benzofuro[3,2-c]pyrazol-3-amine derivatives

1-Hydroxyimidazole-5-methanamine derivatives characterized by having a lower alkyl group at positions N, N and 5 of the latter derivatives as well as having various substituents at position 2 of the imidazole ring are disclosed. These derivatives are useful as antihypertensive agents in a mammal. Methods for their preparation, use and pharmaceutical compositions also are disclosed.

The compounds of formula 1 are useful for treating allergic conditions and for treating microbial infections. Methods for the preparation and use of said compounds are disclosed.

1,4-Dihydro-4-oxo-benzothiopyrano (4,3-b)pyridine-2-carboxylates and

4H-Pyrano[4,3-d]thiazole derivatives characterized by having a 4H-pyrano[4,3-d]thiazole nucleus having a phenyl substituent at position 2 and a substituent at position 4, said substituent incorporating an acidic or basic function therein, are disclosed. The nucleus is further substituted at position 4 with a lower alkyl and may be optionally substituted in the phenyl ring. The foregoing compounds possess anti-inflammatory and antidepressant activity and methods for their preparation and use are described.

4H-pyrano[4,3-d]thiazole derivatives and process therefor

1,3-Dihydropyrrolo[4,3,2-de]isoquinoline derivatives characterized by an amino or hydrazino substituent at position 5 are disclosed. Also included are the related 4,6-dihydropyrrolo[4,3,2-de]-s-triazolo[3,4-a]isoquinoline and its 8-methyl derivative. The compounds are antidepressant and antihypertensive agents. Methods for their preparation and use are disclosed.

Certain 4,6-dihydropyrrolotriazoline-quinoline derivatives

1,3,4,5-Tetrahydropyrrolo[4,3,2-de]isoquinoline and its N-alkyl derivatives are disclosed. The compounds are antidepressant and antihypertensive agents. Methods for their preparation and use are disclosed.
