Methods and systems for controlling energy delivery in medical devices

Intravascular blood pumps and methods of use. The blood pump include a pump portion that includes a collapsible blood conduit defining a blood flow lumen between an inflow and an outflow. The pump portion includes a distal collapsible impeller axially spaced from a proximal collapsible impeller, at least a portion of each of the distal and proximal collapsible impellers disposed between the inflow and the outflow.

Intravascular blood pump systems and methods of use and control thereof

A device having an optical element with a conductive coating. The device may include an optical element, a conductive material and at least one connector. The conductive material is disposed on at least a portion of the optical element. The optical element, for example, may be an object lens of an endoscope or an optical coupler. The connectors (acting as terminal(s)) are capable of providing energy (such as electrical energy) to the conductive material. In one aspect, the conductive material is an optically transparent material. Advantageously, the device may allow visualization of an object&#x2014;such as body tissue or other matter&#x2014;concurrent with the application of energy to the object via the conductive coating. This allows the user to observe the alteration of tissue and other matter in real time as the energy is delivered.

The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes.

Devices with a motor that, when connected to a cannula, rotates the cannula while removing adipose tissue from a surgical site. The device provides a direct pathway, for aspirated adipose tissue, from a tip of the cannula to a location where tubing is attached to the device. The pathway does not pass through the motor that provides the angular rotation of the cannula. Instead, the path for the adipose tissue passes through a removable coupler that is connected to the cannula. The cannula may also have a direct flow path for adipose tissue that does not pass through the motor.
