Systems and methods for forecasting renewable energy generation using holistic weather and system analysis are provided. Derate factors of energy sources can be considered, along with regional weather variability, site specific weather, and a cross-view of the sky from ground based and/or geo-stationary satellite imaging. The forecast can include short-term forecasting and long-term forecasting.

System for forecasting renewable energy generation

Systems and methods for forecasting of State of Charge (SOC) of lithium ion batteries are provided. A multi-step forecasting process with experimentally obtained decreasing C-Rate datasets together with machine learning can be used. The multi-step approach can combine a univariate technique with machine learning techniques. An Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and/or Holt Winters Exponential Smoothing (HWES) can be combined with each other and/or with machine learning techniques such as Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and Nonlinear autoregressive neural network with external input (NARX-net).

Systems and methods for forecasting battery state of charge

Devices and methods for providing a mobile source of power for many different types of situations are provided. A portable emergency alternating current (AC) energy (PEACE) Supplier can serve as a mobile source of power for users with photovoltaic (PV) and/or energy storage systems during power outage situations caused by normal or extreme scenarios. A Supplier can also be used to provide power when weather conditions result in insufficient solar energy for the user's needs.

Systems and methods for power management

Devices and methods related to a grid-connected RES power plant are provided. A device can include a controller configured to: apply a logarithmic barrier function using natural logarithm to a general primal and dual linear programming function; select a point comprising a point in real space, a Lagrangian multiplier, and a slack variable, such that the point in real space is feasible for positive primal solution and both the Lagrangian multiplier and slack variable are feasible for a dual solution; and iteratively solve for an optimal solution for allocation of renewable energy into a grid-connected RES power plant.
