The present embodiments relate to entry and management of identifiers and credentials. The present embodiments display a credential affordance that, upon selection, provides a credential-assistance user interface for enabling swift access to various credential and management options. The credential affordance can be displayed based on a determination by electronic device that a webpage includes a text entry field associated with a set of one or more restricted resources (e.g., document and/or webpage).

Credential entry and management

A service for providing messaging extension apps can be an online store that can be browsed and searched for the apps. The store uses extension app identifiers which are related to app identifiers that are sent between devices in a conversation of messages so that a receiving device can, when it does not have the extension app installed to interact with received content, use the extension app identifier to download and install the required extension app. In one embodiment, the download and install can occur while the messaging app remains the foreground app, and the messaging app adds an icon of the newly installed extension app into a browsable tray in the UI of the messaging app.

In various embodiments described herein, a content extension and programming interface enable third-party content extensions to supply transformation and filtering actions and associated criteria to native web clients on a system. In one embodiment, the native web client loads data for a third-party content filtering, blocking, or transformation extension and conducts extension defined actions without requiring additional intermediation by the third-party content. In one embodiment, a third-party application downloaded to a mobile or handheld device can include an extension data object that provides actions and triggers that are loaded by a native web client of the system. The third-party application is not required to execute continuously and can exit or be terminated once the web client retrieves the extension data object.

An electronic device detects a gesture input while displaying first content including a first hyperlink in a first window and a second window that includes second content. A messaging system in one embodiment includes a messaging app and one or more sticker extension apps configured to create a sticker image and render a sticker image that is displayed in a view hosted by the messaging app. The messaging app can launch, from a browsable view that includes one or more sticker extension apps, one or more of the sticker extension apps, and a sticker image created by one of the sticker extension apps can be communicated between the sticker extension app and the messaging app through an interprocess communication.
