In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a processor to: identify a workload comprising a plurality of tasks; generate a workload graph based on the workload, wherein the workload graph comprises information associated with the plurality of tasks; identify a device connectivity graph, wherein the device connectivity graph comprises device connectivity information associated with a plurality of processing devices; identify a privacy policy associated with the workload; identify privacy level information associated with the plurality of processing devices; identify a privacy constraint based on the privacy policy and the privacy level information; and determine a workload schedule, wherein the workload schedule comprises a mapping of the workload onto the plurality of processing devices, and wherein the workload schedule is determined based on the privacy constraint, the workload graph, and the device connectivity graph. The apparatus further comprises a communication interface to send the workload schedule to the plurality of processing devices.

Privacy-preserving distributed visual data processing

In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a memory and a processor. The memory is to store sensor data, wherein the sensor data is captured by a plurality of sensors within an educational environment. The processor is to: access the sensor data captured by the plurality of sensors: identify a student within the educational environment based on the sensor data: detect a plurality of events associated with the student based on the sensor data, wherein each event is indicative of an attention level of the student within the educational environment: generate a report based on the plurality of events associated with the student; and send the report to a third party associated with the student.

Interactive environments using visual computing and immersive reality

Systems and methods for automated generation and presentation of thematic content objects to consumers in a retail environment are provided. A portable device may include a transmitter or transceiver that emits, produces or otherwise transmits a signal that includes information and/or data representative of an identifier that uniquely identifies the portable device. Upon entering an establishment thematic content delivery circuitry detects the presence of the portable device and obtains the identifier included in the signal emitted by the portable device. Using the identifier, the thematic content delivery circuitry determines a theme logically associated with the identifier. The thematic content delivery circuitry generates thematic content output that is logically associated with the theme and communicates the thematic content output to an output device. The thematic content output may include display output, audio output, tactile output, hardcopy output, or combinations thereof.

In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a display interface to communicate with a display device and a processor. The processor is to: identify a mobile transaction associated with a user, wherein the mobile transaction comprises a potential transaction to be completed using a mobile device of the user; access transaction data associated with the mobile transaction; encrypt the transaction data based on an encryption key associated with the user; generate a visual code associated with the encrypted transaction data, wherein the visual code comprises visually encoded data, and wherein the visual code is generated within a protected execution environment of the processor; establish a protected datapath between the processor and the display device via the display interface; and transmit the visual code to the display device via the protected datapath, wherein the visual code is to be displayed on the display device.

Secure visual transactions for mobile devices

Systems and methods for displaying content from a multi-use fog device are provided. The multi-use fog device may include a processor to execute code segments, and a floating-point gate array (FPGA) card that is coupled to the processor through a PCIe interface. The FPGA card includes a header for connecting sensors to the multi-use fog device, and an FPGA that provides video processing for the multi-use fog device.

The method includes measuring a phase of a signal that the communication device has received from the device, the signal having a first frequency; measuring a phase of at least one further signal that the communication device has received from the device; the at least one further signal having a second frequency, determining a phase pattern of a measured phase versus frequency, pattern matching the phase pattern with each reference phase pattern of a plurality of pre-determined reference phase patterns. Each reference phase pattern is associated with a distance between the communication device and the further communication device. The method further includes determining the distance between the further communication device and the communication device based on the pattern matching.

A digital advertising system includes an advertisements module that provides a number of digital advertisements for display on a digital display device. A digital sign module including the digital display device displays digital advertisements provided by the advertisements module, and captures video analytics data relating to previous viewers of the digital advertisements displayed by the digital sign module. A data mining module retrieves the video analytics data from the digital sign module and generates trained advertising models based thereon using a data mining algorithm. A content management system module coupled to the advertisements module and the data mining module receives the digital advertisements and the trained advertising models and generates a subset of the advertisements for display based on the trained advertising models.

A set of samples are returned by radio frequency identifier (RFID) reader corresponding to the readings of signals emitted from a particular RFID tag, each sample including a respective set of features identifying values of the attributes of the signals as detected. At least some of the features are provided as inputs to a random forest of decision trees, each providing a prediction that the particular RFID tag is located in one of a plurality of defined zones in a particular environment. From outputs of the plurality of decision trees based on the set of samples, it can be determined that the particular RFID tag is located in a particular one of the plurality of zones at a first instance in time.

In various embodiments, an RFID Antenna/Tag Location Configuration device (RLC) may facilitate placement of one or more RFID antennas in a physical space. The RLC may collect RFID data from tags determine which of the RFID antennas need to be relocated. The RLC may determine, based on collected RFID data, whether each antenna is a dominant antenna and/or has a substantial read rate. If an antenna is not dominant and/or does not exhibit a substantial read-rate, the RLC ma indicate that the antenna should be relocated. The RLC may also be configured to filter collected RFID data prior to using the data for determination of antennas. The RLC may also determine, using the RFID antennas, a physical location of RFID tags in the physical space using detected signal strength for RFID tags. Various embodiments are directed to cooperation among computing devices to employ visually identifiable traits of a person and data concerning their online activities to determine subjects of interest to them and select advertisements. An apparatus comprises a processor circuit; an interface operative to communicatively couple the processor circuit to a network; and a storage communicatively coupled to the processor circuit and arranged to store a sequence of instructions operative on the processor circuit to: monitor online activities comprising interactions with a computing device via the interface and the network; store collected data about the online activities; store profile data comprising visually identifiable traits; detect a signage device; and form a link with the signage device via the interface and transmit the profile data to the signage device via the link in response to detection of the signage device. Digital sign advertisement selection based on mobile device activity

This disclosure presents embodiments for performing privacy-preserving distributed computing. For example, a workload that includes a plurality of tasks may be identified, and a workload graph may be generated to represent the workload. In addition, a device connectivity graph with connectivity information for a plurality of processing devices may be identified. A privacy policy associated with the workload, along with privacy level information associated with the plurality of processing devices, may also be identified. A privacy constraint may then be identified based on the privacy policy and the privacy level information. A workload schedule that includes a mapping of the workload onto the plurality of processing devices may be determined based on the privacy constraint, the workload graph, and the device connectivity graph. The workload schedule may be sent to the plurality of processing devices, which may execute the workload based on the workload schedule.

An embodiment of a semiconductor package apparatus may include technology to associate an asset to a fixture with a device positioned proximate to the fixture, and determine a location of the fixture based on a location of the device. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed. Non-limiting example applications may include shipping, logistics, warehouse asset tracking, retail, etc.

Self-adaptive inventory and fixture tracking

Localization data is accessed, which is based on information collected by one or more sensor devices deployed within an environment. The localization data identifies presence of a person within a particular location within the environment. A feature vector is access, which includes values to describe a plurality of different physical characteristics of the person as measured by a set of one or more sensor devices deployed within the environment when the person was present within the particular location. An emotion of the person is determined from the feature vector data, and the emotion is associated with the particular location within the environment. An emotion heat map is generated of the environment to map emotional responses determined within the environment to specific locations within the environment.
