A modular wing in ground effect vehicle has a fuselage which receives interchangeable cockpit and component modules and may accept a variety of snap-on wing styles and control surfaces for various flying conditions and pilot skill levels. When depleted or due for repairs, modules containing stored energy components or machinery subject to wear or periodic maintenance may be exchanged for fresh units so that a vehicle requiring such an exchange may be returned to service quickly and conveniently.

Wing in ground effect vehicle

A plug-in connector for connecting to a receptacle includes a housing including tripping structures, electrically conductive terminals partly situated in the housing, latches arranged in the housing, and a slider slidingly coupled to the housing, and further includes blocking structures and trippable structures extending in a mating direction and that cooperate with the tripping structures, and a spring that urges the slider outward away from the housing in the mating direction. The tripping structures are situated to engage with the trippable structures during an initial stage of relative movement between the housing and slider against the spring bias while inward deflection of the latches is allowed. The blocking structures of the slider prevent inward deflection of the latches after a final stage of the relative movement between the housing and slider, and the connector has an electrically interconnected state only when in the final stage.

Self-rejecting connector

A plug-in connector for connecting to a receptacle including a housing including fins, at least one electrically conductive terminal at least partly situated in the housing and defining a mating axis and a mating direction, cantilevered locking beams arranged in the housing, a slider slidingly coupled to the housing and including blocking beams extending in the mating direction, a compressive member arranged to urge the slider outward away from the housing in the mating direction. The fins are situated to engage with the blocking beams during an initial stage of relative movement between the housing and the slider against a bias of the compressive member and allow inward deflection of the locking beams. The blocking beams are configured to prevent inward deflection of the locking beams after a final stage of the relative movement between the housing and the slider.

Self-rejecting automotive harness connector

An electrical connector including a housing; electrical contacts connected to the housing; and a mate assist system for assisting in mating the electrical connector to a mating electrical connector. The mate assist system includes a lever pivotably connected to the housing, a slider slidably connected to the housing, and a system for preventing unintentional movement of the lever from an unlocked position. The system for preventing unintentional movement of the lever includes a first latch adapted to be manually actuated by a user and a second latch on the slider adapted to be automatically moved by the mating electrical connector when the housing is initially mounted on the mating electrical connector. Both the first and second latches are moved to enable movement of the lever from the unlocked position.
